Face the tv or sideways?
I tried to search here for an answer but maybe the question is too dumb to ask. If so, sorry I’m new to yoga. I was wondering if there’s a consensus on what way to face when doing yoga at home and looking at the tv. Should I face the tv, or have my mat sideways so I would have to look to the left or right when doing a downward dog (as an example)?

Recommendations for a 3-month retreat?
Hi hi, (I searched FAQ + posts b4 posting ✌️) I’ve practiced yoga pretty non-committally for over a decade, so consider myself to be a beginner. I’d like to immerse myself in practising yoga for mental and physical health reasons, with a view to bringing my learning to my life back home. I’d consider either a retreat or YTT – whichever has the potential to provide the best structure and deepest learning. Can anyone recommend a reputable, affordable yoga centre in India that offers either 3-month or open-ended stays? Cheers! Fi

ex dancer wanting to gain back flexibility through yoga
i did ballet along with other forms of dance from ages 3-18, and am now 22. i miss dancing sometimes but don’t have the money for classes. i’ve been interested in beginning at-home yoga for a while to gain back flexibility/balance and to give me the therapeutic effect dancing had for me. what are some tips or youtube channels that can help me stay committed to stretching / practicing yoga multiple times a week?

Why 100 degrees? Why not 95 or 90? And the humidity….
I recently was told that hot yoga in a studio cranked up to 100 degrees with ungodly humidity is actually not a thing in places like India. In that part of the world, their climate is such that when the practice in the AM, it is actually HOT and HUMID. I do enjoy hot yoga and understand that it is HOT. The issue I have is that each teacher has a different opinion on how the heat and humidity should be set. Some sessions feel like the desert. Some like the jungle. Some like a tropical forest. And some like an early August afternoon in Florida. Who out there can explain why the need to set the temp at 100 degrees and why the variability in heat/humidity. Is there not a standard?
