Having a hard time getting back into practicing
I started doing yoga consistently September ‘22. It’s been an amazing journey, on and off the mat. 3 weeks ago I got married, and I haven’t been able to practice since then, as I’ve been so busy with visiting family and celebrating. Last week was my first time getting back into the studio, and I struggled! It honestly felt harder than when I first started practicing in September. I felt so heavy and could barely hold a plank. I’ve tried practicing at home, but I still feel so heavy and exhaust quickly. I know that consistency is key, and I will regain my strength. Does anyone have any tips for someone who is getting back into practicing and having a hard time? I’m just feeling a little discouraged since months of progress feel like they have vanished lol!

Yoga philosophy question about visceral experience of clearing samskaras
Needle in a haystack here but I suspect that I am experiencing a visceral phenomenon involved in clearing samskaras and I wonder if anyone else around here has had that experience. It seems that it requires quiet body and solitude. Stillness. I would describe it like sraping old energy out through one of my chakras. I am wondering are there any old texts that discuss this aspect of samskaras so I can learn more about it? I've only ever seen it described in an abstract way and this is in some way very concrete. I suspect it is this because the latest one happened after I very intentionally made a different choice from my patterning trying to be more identified with Reality in each moment. But my ego still wants to know things in an ego way so thank you in advance if you have further reading recommendations.

whats your practice for setting intention before a yoga session?
Ive been practicing a couple years and have become aware of a delicate balance about being fully committed to each session before beginning. I found it much more beneficial to practice 3-4 times a week with a full, clear intention, than to practice more often with the incursion of less constructive feelings of doing too much. However I would like to do more sessions. How does one find this balance between having a clear and present motivation and the problem of feeling tired or burned out? Or is there a better way to approach the problem of being fully present and increasing session frequency.

The miracle of Asana, the physical is just an interface. We are navigating the mind and spirit by doing asanas.
I've come to the realization that certain postures and sequences in rhythms are ways of unblocking aspects of spirit and mind, as body, mind, and spirit are one indivisible whole, a unit. At first, I was always surprised how I randomly come into insights, or feel strong emotions, or feel an increase understanding or empathy while doing asanas. The body is like a game controller or a computer peripheral and what is going on inside can be navigated by moving the body, which can lead to things like wisdom, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, release. To yogis, this must be obvious. But to me as a layman, it's been mindblowing and it has not yet ceased to surprise me.

Why am I sweating more in hot yoga?
I started hot yoga approximately two months ago and have been going on an increasingly frequent basis (almost every day). In addition to massive improvements in my form, endurance, and overall performance, I have noticed my amount of sweat produced has increased DRAMATICALLY. Is this normal? (I am sweating much more than everyone else in the class.) I do not have underlying health conditions and my athletic performance has not changed enough to easily explain for the sweat difference. (I have not altered my diet, lifestyle, or any other significant factor during this time.) Thank you!

Went to a beginner class today as an intermediate?
Felt so strange to be in a beginner Hatha class (at my new gym) compared to my intermediate/advanced hot yoga studio classes.... Felt like I was "cheating" on my studio...... Can't help but compare but it is apples and oranges Tell me about your experiences with going to easier classes as an advanced practitioner? Can it be enjoyable? Can it replace your advanced classes because you can always do harder options? Just interested to know other people's experiences! Thank youuu Edit: forgot to say was a good class! Just noticed the differences and not sure I can get used to it!
