I get why people like crow pose now
I used to roll my eyes at posts where people would be flipping out over crow pose. I'm new to yoga, so I hadn't done it myself, but it always seemed so unimpressive. Well I did my first one today. There were a few seconds where things flipped and the pose just felt *right*. Once I fell out I literally jumped it the air with a small fist pump and big smile. I totally get it now! Feel free to roll your eyes at me though lol. That was fun, exciting, and a great workout all at once.

Shingles and Yoga
Recently was diagnosed with shingles at the young age of 30. It was reactivated due to high amounts of stress working as a Starbucks lead in a Fredmeyer. The high expectations and bullying has made my life miserable. Anyway I was wondering what yoga moves would be good for someone with shingles along the right side of my buttox and my lower back? I don’t want to overdo anything and mess up my nerves worse.

Best type/style of yoga for increasing flexibility?
I am VERY new to yoga and looking to increase my flexibility. I am in my early 50s and noticed that my lower body range of motion has declined a bit over the past several years.

Headphones/ earphones for meditation?
I need headphones/ earphones to cancel out the noise in my house in the evening when I am trying to meditate. I don't know how noise cancelling works, in the sense that if I buy an expensive pair of noise cancelling headphones/earphones. Will they block out the sound if I am not playing anything into them. I don't do guided meditations, so I would just like to sit in silence. Does anyone use headphones/earphones while they practice? What brand/model do you use? Can you block out sound without playing anything?

Achillies injury connected to muscles imbalances all the way up leg?
I have scar tissue from an Achilles partial rupture. It's been healed for years however I have less flexibility on bringing my foot up. As a result, I cannot touch my toes as easily as on my left side. I'm just tighter on that left side in general. All of my current running injuries and aches are on my left side. (labral tear, hip stiffness, tight QL) Is this a result of the previous Achillies injury? My right side feels perfect. Thank you for your input.

Is it possible to get to a point where your body is actually consistently pain free and no muscle is sore and tight?
A loved one told me that the purpose of yoga originally was to get the body pain free so that when you meditate you don’t have any distractions from bodily discomfort. This has got me thinking, have any of you reached a point where due to yoga your body is essentially pain free? My body is constantly sore and tight. Every few days I will do maybe 20 mins of stretching but it doesn’t seem to create any progress, just temporary relief. I can’t imagine my calves not constantly being painful and tight, or my hamstrings, etc. Is it possible? If so, could you please share your experience? I think it would be incredibly inspiring and help me dedicate to a consistent practice. Right now I feel a bit hopeless and resigned to being tight and in pain as my norm and it’s hard to motivate myself when I feel I’m chasing a fantasy of being pain free

How do yogis attain Mahasamadhi?
Basically the title. I've read many incidents of advanced yogis attaining Mahasamadhi i.e consciously leaving their bodies through one of the chakaras (preferably the crown Chakra or Bramharandra as that is the Chakra where life enters the body during pregnancy). They say that once an individual attains Mahasamadhi, there is no question of rebirth. Swami Vivekanada and Paramahamsa Yogananda (Author of the criticically acclaimed book "Autobiography of a Yogi") are two famous individuals who attained Mahasamadhi among a few others. Does anyone have a detailed insight as to how they do it? What sort of routine/practices did they do that helped them attain it? (There's not a lot of info on Google on this) TIA
