What is the correct way to do downward dog?
I've been practicing yoga for a few months now, and I noticed that whenever the teachers do the downward dog, their whole feet lay flat on the ground. However, I can't do it. I always need to tip toe. How do I get to lay my feet flat on the floor too?

Did you return to yoga after a broken wrist?
I’ve been practicing yoga for about 20 years and I love it, but I recently fractured my wrist in a roller skating accident. I had to have surgery and I’m in for a long recovery. I would love to hear from people who were able to return to their practice after having an injury that prevented weight-bearing and significantly inhibited their range of motion. Right now I can barely move my wrist at all (it’s been about a month since the injury and a week since surgery) and I’m feeling afraid I may never be able to practice like I used to. Thanks in advance!

must the left leg be on top during full-lotus?
For some reason I always have much more comfort putting the right leg on top but: a buddhist friend told me "real cultivation is left leg on top", and I have seen photos of mediation masters like thi,,buddhaboy for example;they clearly have the left leg/heel on top during full lotus. does it change according to a person's sex?(for example I know in buddhist tradition,men and woman have inverted-direction energy channels)

Child pose
Had severe back pain couple of weeks back . Now it’s lot better but still feel a bit weak in the lower back . When I try to do child pose I feel like my face muscles get numb or tingly sensation. Does anyone know what could be causing this ?

Bellybutton Piercing and Hot Yoga
I'm contemplating getting my bellybutton pierced (and I'm glad that it's back/cool again). However, I'm fairly regular with practicing hot yoga weekly. I assume I'll have to take a break to heal. But I wanted to know anyone's experience?
