I hate going up into mountain pose and down into forward fold and vinyasa flow repeatedly...
I love vinyasa but this really doesn't do much for me. Am I the only one? I just get super light headed and stressed. Does anyone else have this same issue or have any advice on how to go through a variation that won't make me faint?

Feel like Ashtanga is sometimes viewed as "better" than slower paced Hatha in Yoga Communities
I am new asana teacher who chose a breath based Hatha teacher training for my first 200hr that is taught by teachers from the Sivananda/Krishnamacharya lineage. I guess my idea for conversation is centered around this: I often feel on social media and in conversation that Ashtanga is viewed as superior, better, or more traditional than this style of Hatha. To me, I really like the slower paced Hatha because I find it to be more meditative. But, I also really value tradition and legitimacy when it comes to yoga (as my background training before is in Kriya Yoga). So I guess I wanted to just open a conversation up around this topic... -What are your thoughts on one style being more superior or "traditional" within Yoga communities? -Besides the Hatha Yoga Pradipika etc. what are the most traditional sources for breath based, slower, Hatha style asana? What are some of the most revered Hatha style teachers? Namaste!!

Question regarding flexibility
This might be a dumb one, I’m new so forgive my ignorance but how does flexibility work exactly? How do I become more flexible? When I do a yoga follow along to some YT videos, I obviously can’t hit the poses right cause I lack flexibility so how do I improve that? Do I just force myself towards the pose and it’ll become easier and easier, even if it starts off feeling slightly uncomfortable at first(not painful, just uncomfortable)? Like am I supposed to focus on pushing and forcing my body to stretch further and further each time? I’ve done 6 weeks of yoga before and it felt like I got stuck at the same spot flexibility wise after the 3rd week and that kinda threw me off but I do know I definitely did it more for relaxation than anything else, now I’d like to actually get more flexible… Any tips appreciated

Question about warrior poses and lunges; do my feet have to be aligned or can they be hip width apart?
My hips are quite stiff and tight still so I struggle to balance myself during warrior poses and lunges (I also have snapping hip syndrome.) I find more stability in keeping my feet hip width apart. When following alongside teacher instructions, mainly in videos, I hear a lot of “keeping the heels aligned with one another,” “keep the front heel aligned with the back arch,” “turn the toes at 45 degree/point to the corner of the mat.” Is this with my feet aligned or with them hip width apart? This also applies to when I step through and try to transition to another pose, I have to make adjustments with my feet/hip a lot so flowing doesn’t come that easily. Diagrams and pictures online always show the side and never the front too. So I’m a little confused.

gentle stretches for post COVID?
I've been home with covid for a little over a week. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get up and about and do some small chores around the house. My back and my abs feel like they got a workout because I'd been in bed for so long. I'm worried I'll hurt myself if I do too much (previously I injured myself after being bedridden from overstretching). My low back in particular needs some work but I don't want to go too far. Can anyone recommend some gentle lower body stretches? Thanks a bunch!
