Child’s pose

Recently took up hot yoga again after a couple of months off - I started daily at the beginning of 2022 but gave up after 2 months because of having pneumonia! In my practice I often find it hard to be comfortable in child’s pose, my left hip is very tight and feels like it props me up. I also struggle to sit cross legged because of this hip niggle! Any advice?

When it comes to self-care, we could all use a gentle reminder to slow down. Tag a friend to brighten their Saturday ✨ #MandukaXAdriene https://t.co/w53houx46J

Reason for more than one mat? Or when to replace mat?

I’m a fairly frugal person, but also I’ve started thinking about purchasing a second mat. What are some pros about having more than one? Or when do you know it’s time to replace your current mat. For reference I have a manduka 6 in eko mat that I bought in January 2020. Through the first year and a half I mostly did at home yoga (pandemic) about one a week. Now I’m going to a studio 4+ times a week.

🚨 Anyone who sits on their 🍑 Try this quick foam rolling sequence for your outer hips & glutes from YM Teacher @alliegreeryoga! When we spend long periods of time sitting it often starts to create stagnation in the system https://t.co/5vLQuSSNdk https://t.co/DD8PiyNiRz

Back Tension Advice.

Hello all, can anyone recommend some postures or a sequence for fairly extreme tension located in my spine and the back of my rib cage region. The tension also makes my neck quite stiff I think as a consequence of the state of my mid back. I already do a fair bit of stretching throughout the day when I feel like I need it, but it has been getting a lot worse in the recent months. I'm trying to do whatever I can to raise my quality of life but the pain and discomfort I'm experiencing throughout the day is really starting to get to me. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
