We believe that every pet has the perfect family out there for them. ❤️ Unfortunately, some wait longer than others to meet their humans. This is what happened to Banjo, who continued to get overlooked. After months of waiting, though, his happily ever after FINALLY arrived. https://t.co/54NSaTDbk1

Photo by @DaisyGilardini / Polar bears evolved to live in the cold. Two layers of fur — one of which has hollow hair — black skin, and a thick layer of fat protect them from frigid temperatures. 1/3 https://t.co/Eyp9fL7s0j

Polar bears’ ears and tails are small, to avoid unnecessary heat dispersal. Their paws are huge, allowing them to walk on thin ice. Their black footpads are covered by papillae which, coupled with their long claws, act as a crampon effect, gripping the ice while walking. 2/3

Polar bears have long necks for swimming and for catching seals through breathing holes in the ice. Follow me @DaisyGilardini for more images and stories behind the scenes. #canada #manitoba #polarbear #conservation 3/3
