Now that #HurricaneIan has passed, shelters in #Florida are needing to make room for animals found afterward so they can be reunited with their owners. To help achieve this, animals that were adoptable prior to the storm, are being moved to receiving partners across the country.

Some good news for your Instagram feed: For the first time in over 25 years the Arctic fox has successfully bred in Finland! The Arctic fox is a critically endangered species in Finland. At the beginning of the 2000s, the entire Nordic Arctic fox population hit an all-time low, with approximately 100 adult individuals. Currently, an estimated 450 adult Arctic foxes live in Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Finland sees an estimated 10 to 20 Arctic foxes annually, and the number of observations has been increasing in recent years. Learn more by following the link in our bio.
