Feeling Strong in Warrior II
I felt strong in warrior II!!! Warrior II has always been a difficult pose for me to feel steady in. I’ve been practicing more regularly for a year now, but haven’t been very consistent in the past month. I went to the studio last night and when cued into warrior II my body just knew what to do and I felt so strong in my lower body. It was the first time I was conscious of just how steady and strong I have become in my body over the past year. Just posting to share this exciting development with other people that get it! Can you remember the first time you really “got” a foundational pose?

I want to give it a try
I'm not going to put too much detail here, however my therapist said I should try for the mental health benefits. I think that I tend to dive more into something when I initially have one small win at first. Giving it a go and finding out it actually feels nice would help. I'd like to hear little bits of advice and just start on some easy positions.

How has your practice progressed over time?
I have been practicing 5-6 days a week since February, mostly focusing on yin yoga and opening my body. I have made a lot of progress and feel great but do feel that I have plateaued a bit. I know there is no destination in this practice but I would love to hear how peoples practices have progressed physically, spiritually, etc!

Yoga for Splits Recommendations?
My goal for next year is getting into a split. I do Hot Yoga several times a week but I would like to add something at home to start getting these hips ready and willing to do a full split !

Tickling sensation in yin yoga?
Usually go to vinyasa classes but yesterday decided to try yin. Had the weirdest tickling sensations down the back of my neck and like under my finger nails??? Happened in poses where these areas weren’t restricted so I don’t think it was a lack of circulation. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this? It wasn’t painful but it was p uncomfortable - like how tickling makes you feel but without the actual tickle? Lol
