When Little Big Dog Rescue heard that an out-of-state shelter took in 6 senior dogs who were in rough shape, they stepped up to help. All of the dogs had early-stage kidney disease, were found living inside the walls of a house, & had possibly never even been outside before. https://t.co/1kauNuQheA

After a few weeks, they began to open up & associate people with good. Although the dogs are still undergoing medical treatment & are on medication, after a little more TLC they will be ready to be adopted. When the dogs arrived in #Virginia they were overwhelmed by all the changes. They didn’t make eye contact, take treats, or show interest in people. Fortunately, Dot, their director, was able to find helpful suggestions for working with semi-feral dogs on the Best Friends website. https://t.co/96HYFWcxNw
