Works by artist satoru_koizumi_art including his most recent exhibition in Macau in collaboration with Disney, that features a 4-meter tall "Mickey" and 1.5-meter tall "Lotso" sculptures. The show was two years in the making. Wood carving has been an integral part of Japanese heritage for centuries. Koizumi continues this legacy with his own contemporary take on traditional techniques. His wooden sculptures are, at a glance, lovable and endearing, but also reveal their creator’s reflections on the diversity of today’s society and its symbiotic yet destructive relationship with nature. For those who wish to add a Koizumi piece to their collection, a few sculptures from our recently launched edition, White Rhino, are available now by enquiry only. Link in bio. Last chance to see ‘Dark Matter: Thomas Ruff, James Welling,’ a two-person exhibition at Kunsthalle Bielefeld on view through Sunday, March 5. The presentation includes works created by Welling over five decades, and shows how the artist developed an approach to photography marked by technical experimentation and radical stylistic diversity. Photos: Philipp Ottendörfer jamescwelling thomasruff_com kunsthallebielefeld #DarkMatter #JamesWelling #ThomasRuff #KunsthalleBielefeld #photography
