Grasping Fate, By Brian Rushton, Pens, 2023

Grasping Fate "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." - Carl Jung The hands emerging from the primeval cosmic night represents the self: the totality of the individual, consisting all characteristic attributes, conscious and unconscious, mental and physical. An inner guiding factor that is different from the conscious personality which cannot be easily grasped. The rider and the boat denotes the ego, which falsely assumes - as it often does - that it is in control; much to the dismay of the ego, it only constitutes a small part of the overall psyche. The ego refuses to realize that it has very little control as the allegorical small boat is thrashing around in the middle of a cognitive sea, during an inner storm of psychic energy. It is never the case that the ego is in total control. How much the self actualizes depends on how willing the ego is to realize the self and relinquish control

"V for Ooopsies," zolata.art, acrylics, 2023

I was fixing up the piece... and was finally done with it. Didn't notice that I had some yellow paint on my hand and smudged it on the finish piece right after I showed my bf the finished work. :(( If anyone would like to photoshop it, to fix it... let me know.
