Algorand - Worth a punt
I'm not buying the whole securities argument -- Gary Gensler is friends with Silvio Micali and even praised the Algorand blockchain. Something just doesn't smell right and although Algorand had quite a few successive negative events in a row, this only means they can grow back stronger. Algorand is clearly one of the most capable projects in the Web 3 space. They've had partnerships with Fifa and even got some old-school clout from Limewire. From a practical standpoint, it's also one of the fastest and easiest blockchains to use in the whole crypto arena. From an investing point of view, similar to projects like Meta and Activision Blizzard that dumped after hugely negative news, they bounced back because fundamentally they had a solid foundation. You can't change what Algorand is which is a hugely successful blockchain with revolutionary tech. Personally, I'm gonna buy a decent bag because I think this can quickly reverse its fortunes.

Any way to protect yourself from a $5 wrench?
It seems like, when it *really* comes down to it and you are tied down in that chair, being whacked by a $5 wrench, any person would give up their phrase. I don't think there are many people at all that would rather die than give their coins away and live. I think most of us would choose to live. Maybe the $5 wrench is the surest way to get someone's bitcoin. How does one protect themselves from a $5 wrench? Some ideas of mine include: * keeping a fake address with 10k usd in it (enough to make the attacker think he got you good) * never telling anyone you have btc in the first place problem is: * everyone that knows me already knows me as the bitcoin guy * if i have a fake wallet, and they for whatever reason think it's not all the bitcoin i have, they might just continue the $5 wrench

Gold ETF history vs potential BTC ETF
A thought popped into my head and I did about 5 minutes of research on this. I'm open to feedback, so feel free to criticize my post. A quick Google search shows that the first gold ETF was launched around 2003. And below is a chart showing the price history of gold according to goldprice.com. https://preview.redd.it/5pogd0qli0ab1.png?width=752&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=86093cdf81cf7f49559bf28642619f400f07e7e4
