Do I need an attorney to start an LLC?

I am in PA. I want to start an LLC, however I am wondering if I can file online by myself, or since this is my first go-around if it is advised to seek counsel from an attorney to help me file? Any advice from those of you that have done this recently? TIA

Cost of eco-friendly packaging worth it?

I have a brand where we really try to focus on being eco-friendly and sustainable. Those morals are actually built into our product and is one of the reasons people buy our product. I try to have all our shipping materials (boxes, paper, etc.) be made from 100% recycled material. However, this brings the cost of a box from $.4 to roughly $2. The inner materials are more expensive as well. My question is, is it worth it? I like being able to do this, but having that extra profit on every sale would be helpful. The business can handle those costs, but do you think customers really care about the packaging being made from recycled material? The product is a very eco-friendly alternative to other solutions in the industry.

How important is mission and vision?

For companies like 'Allbirds' or 'Nothing brand', and so on it seems like the mission and vision of making ecofriendly products, and unique lifestyle brand was the way they were able to be ultra competitive in overcrowded markets. Is mission and vision seems undervalued. Is it roughly as important as brand, and product? My thinking is that 1.mission, vision is as important as 2.capabilities and implementation, and 3.brand, product, marketing is roughly the same importance. 1/3rd for each. How would you personally classify the importance of mission(direction), vision(long term strategy), capabilities, implementation, brand, product, marketing, and so on?

Selling without having inventory

Happy Friday!!! I run a small online vinyl record store. I preorder smaller quantities from record labels as I'm not sure if they would all sell or not. Then I list them on my site and take preorders from customers. Because of this I sometimes end with inventory which I ordered but did not sell completely. My question is what would the downsides be if I just took orders from my site and then when someone actually purchases then place order with record label. Only downside I can think of is when the record label is all sold out then I would end up cancelling customers order. The upside I see is I can list a lot more items without ordering them before hand. Maybe this will help me scale as well. I'm not looking for dropshipping business as none of the record labels are doing that. Appreciate your help and guidance.

Business Closing: Best Way to Liquidate Product

My partner and I are shutting down our business as we are moving and cannot take it with us. They are decks of cards. How can we best move the rest of the product? We have tried calling other small businesses but due to the recession most aren't looking for new product- at least not bulk orders. We have about 5k decks left to move. Anyone have any ideas?

Looking to start a business with low startup cost

As the title implies I am looking to start a business, I want to do this to work my way towards financial freedom. I don't have a lot saved up to start whatever business, so I am looking for something I can do with around $1,000. I am not looking to get rich from it but something I can scale up and up and eventually open larger business' etc. I learn things very quickly although it's hard for me to research and find what work's so I'd like things have have pretty simple tried and proven methods. I run a small online business selling digital products. Since most of my products are low-priced ($6 USD) I’ve struggled to get good returns advertising on social media since my AOV is quite low. Does anyone have any advice for affordable and effective advertising of cheaper products?

Temporary workers comp

My husband owns his own small business and he's the only worker. He has no employees. He recently got a job working for a contractor that requires workers comp. In our research so far, workers comp won't even cover him since he's the owner. Does anyone know how to get workers comp for just a month or two during the period of this project? If so, how and who? This is like a $6k annual expense but we don't need it for longer than a few months.
