Hi everyone! I hope someone can give me tips on how to attract more people to my business. I started my makeup line about two weeks ago, and so far I’ve had two customers! My posts don’t get too much attention and I try to engage with the audience. What can I do?

Investing business profits vs personal ones?

Hey all, this is a dumb question, but as a business owner (LLC set up as S-corp with myself as the sole employee), I'm aware of the distinction between company money and personal money. I pay myself a "reasonable salary" as defined by IRS rules, which means that my company makes money, it pays the payroll taxes on it, and what's left becomes my salary/personal money. I'm investing that. My question is: what do I need to do, or be aware of, regarding investing the company's leftover profits, rather than it just sitting in a bank account? Are there any gotchas I should be aware of?

I'm a small business owner, I have owned the business for about 5.5 years and have a 1-star rating on Yelp due to ONE 1-star review (reviewer never stepped foot in store, was upset when we had to revoke an online coupon code due to manufacturer policy). I can see from my Yelp business account that there are 14 positive reviews that have not been allowed. Is there anything I can do?

Can anyone recommend an app or business service which would allow me to view all my business data (GL, inventory, payment, HR, etc.) in a single dashboard and help me make better decisions?

My friend and I have recently graduated University (having majored in Finance) and have started a small consulting company. We’ve been doing some basic financial analysis for a firm in Toronto for the past year. Nothing big but we’ve been doing well for ourselves. At the moment it is all out of scope work and originally the client was responsible for finding someone to do it. For an extra fee we’ll do it in house. Question about starting my own business!

Hey, what’s up guys. I’m looking at starting my own brick and mortar business in another state. How hard is it for me to get a business loan if I don’t even live in the state? I plan to move to the state as soon as possible. Ideally before my business officially opens. My next question is this— Can I use money from my business loan to live off of for 6 months to get my business started? I don’t expect to be profitable for the first few months, so I’d like to have a bit of a buffer. I’d be asking for around $50,000 in business loans. For reference, I currently have 0 credit card debt. I owe $6000 on a car. And like $7000 to school.

Tesla’s aspirations in China were dealt a major blow over the weekend after the government ordered that more than 285,000 vehicles — that’s almost all the cars it’s sold in the country — be fixed to address a safety issue. China’s State Administration for Market Regulation said the vehicles’ autopilot systems can be activated automatically, potentially leading to crashes from sudden acceleration. In most cases, the fix should be able to be made remotely with an online update. Tesla will upgrade the software for free. The recall tops a string of embarrassing setbacks for Tesla in China.
