If you suddenly found $37 and had to use it for growing your business, what would you spend it on and why?

I know $37 isn't a lot of money and it won't take you as far today as it may have 5 years ago. But, I'm curious. You get a $37 tip or find it in a drawer in a hotel room. What are you doing to put that money to work for you?

Cafe/coffee shop cleaning service?

Hello, opening up a small coffee shop and wondering how others handle cleaning/sanitation for towels & rags, mops, cleaning solution. Weekly service with Cintas/Ecolab vs. DYI? I've seen quotes for \~$70/wk and wondering why I'd want to go that route vs. buying new supplies for myself.

How can i do online payments ?

I have a landscaping business, and as Im hiring employees i realize its not a good idea for them to handle any payments. I want the consumer to schedule and pay beforehand… BUT… All jobs are quoted at different prices. How can i build a website where the consumer can upload photos, receive an email/text with the quoted price, and pay the quoted price online? (Scheduling will be handled through email/text/or call. Zelle or Venmo or cashapp and whatnot seems a little unprofessional. Id rather payments be processed online. Or, any advice on an alternate solution?

First E-Commerce Store Could Use Advice

Hi, Last month I opened my e-commerce store specterbyjessica(dot)com and I have not sold anything yet. Granted - the website has only had 38 views in total. I have tried working on some SEO but it has not done very much in terms of clicks. I don't think I offer bad products - but that I just can't seem to put it in front of the right people (marketing). This is my first time ever selling physical stuff on a larger scale. I've sold used items on FB Marketplace and a art piece/crochet doll before but this is different.

Does anyone know of a software that can manage both personal and self-employed (sole prop, no inventory) accounting?

Looking for a tool that will allow me to do my personal and small business accounting in one. I work as a consultant so I have no inventory, I also have no staff (though I do pay contractors from time to time). I try not to, but do mix and match the usage of my business credit card and personal/business bank accounts. I liked that QB self-employed let you swipe to categorize an expense as personal or business, but apparently everything else about it is terrible. I would love to just add all my accounts, and tag it 'business' or 'personal' and get all the reports I need from the business side (taxes, HST deductions, expenses, P&L, etc) but also be able to keep an eye on my personal spending and habits. Located in Canada.

I have a small business and with interest rates going up and up, I'm wondering if there's any good savings accounts to earn interest on any ideal cash. If so, does anyone have any favorites? Thanks for any replies.

Need Advice about starting a small business

I was thinking about starting a small business this Summer doing driveway pressure washing and possibly soft washing for houses, but I will have to go back to college early August. I haven't had any experience running a business but I know how to use a pressure washer well and was wanting to make some money on the side. I'm starting to have second thoughts because I feel like a month is too small of a timeframe to start a business and I'm not sure what I would do when I have to leave and I already began this business. Should I just try it and see what happens, or should I hold it off?

College project questions for small business owners

Hello, I have a college project on small business owners and would appreciate if one could answer these questions for me. Thanks! \- What type of business form is it—a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, or corporation? \- What are the advantages and disadvantages of the business form? \- What benefits, and opportunities does the owner enjoy? \- What are the negative aspects of owning that business? \- Do you think this would be a good business to purchase if the current owner wanted to sell it? Why or why not?

Shipping Services for Online Store

Hey Everyone, I am working on a new venture selling physical goods online. Products will range from 1-5 pounds in weight and we will be shipping in the US and Canada for now. Looking for options on shipping platforms that are both easy to use and cost effective as we are planning on selling on a free shipping model. Thoughts and advice is greatly appreciated. \-Note, we are trying to stay away from low ticket SKUs to help with the "free shipping" model.

How did you chart, or pre-calculate your overhead and op expense? did you chart it out on excel ? i wont have much overhead since i will be operating out of my own home. I feel like maybe i am overthinking it.

How to actually document tax deductions

How do you document your write-off's in way that can be used as proof in the event of an audit? For instance, a business wants to conduct an interview with my company for their YouTube channel. We are discussing meeting in person at a certain location to do so. How can I document this three-day expenditure as a write-off? We're considering expenses such as travel, food, staff, etc. How does this process work?

Injury clinic in Florida

Figured it’s a long shot but I wanted to reach out to the community and see if anyone has any experience with owning an Injury Clinic in the state of Florida as a nonprovider. I have a unique opportunity in front of me to take over an injury practice but would like to talk ship with someone that has experience first.

Chargeback timescale information

Hello everybody, I would like to have more information on how long does it take from when a customer open a chargeback with the bank to when the merchant receive it? I guess it may vary depending on the bank, representative etc, but on average more or less. I have received a chargeback recently for product not received, and according to tracking information and the carrier, the customer received the product few days before we received the chargeback. So I'm trying to know if the customer opened the chargeback before receiving the product and was genuinely worried about that (even if he should have contacted us before, as the package was about to be delivered), or if the customer received the product, and opened the chargeback right away... Thank your for the information,
