YOLO take over
I'm a formulation Chemist for a local CBD company for the last 3 years, the president has build up 100k worth of debt through obvious frivolous spending (Travel expenses, exorbitant salary, business meals, ect) and now he wants out to go start again elsewhere. He wants to give me the company on the condition I continue to pay off the debt he's rung up and I think if I wasn't a fool I can bring is back because: f it, YOLO. Sales this year are already 50k and I think they will go down by half when I take over because this guy burned a lot of bridges. But I think that's enough to keep the lights on and make payment to his debt. I formulated and produced the product and handled inventory, PO and SO management but don't know shit about owning a company. Is it possible to learn fast enough so this doesn't crash and burn? What resources would provide a crash course in business in a few months? What should I prioritize first? Please help!

3 months into the new biz & he wants to give up
My husband is 3 months into starting his own handyman business and while he's getting steady work, he's having a hard time managing due to: \- hiccups happening in regards to jobs going longer than anticipated due to unforeseen issues \- up front costs for materials/tools \- free estimates taking so much time He's saying he wants to just throw in the towel bc it all seems like it's way more work and somehow less income. I told him that he's still in the learning phase and that once he meets with an accountant and reworks the quotes he sends out, things will get better...but will they? I work my own full-time job and I'm the breadwinner; I wish I could help him more, but I can only do so much.

Have you used Lead Generation services before? Do they work?
I would love to hear your thoughts on hiring a lead generation company. Did they perform? Were the leads well qualified? How long was the engagement? Is your industry niche and did they do a good job without having much technical background? I feel like some businesses think they are great at the business development portion of the sales process but in reality, their sales people typically hate prospecting and cold calling.

Asking for tips to face an unfair competitor in the Pet industry
I have just initiated my Petshop. However, entrepreneurs in the sector, who have been in business for many years, lower prices in order to negatively affect new competitors. Do you have any tips to face and overcome this situation?

Banking
I have a tiny business. And today I went to open a business checking account and was told I had to maintain a minimum balance of 2k, or spend 2k a month on credit, or pay fees. Most of the time that might be fine. But I'm used to banks paying me to use my money. I don't buy much, I provide a service, not a product. I can confidently say my business buys less than 5k a year. Does anyone have advice on what US bank to go to if you're on the micro side?

Wanting to build business credit but need virtual address & looking to do anonymous LLC filings.
Firstly, I need to build business credit which I know will take time. To do this I know a PO Box nor my home address will be good to use. So I need to find a virtual address that will be acceptable to creditors & not pop as virtual. Secondly, the whole Registered Agent I'm not sure of. Can I have it through the virtual address, or do I have to pay separately for it? Thirdly & this is thr thought one, I want to form my LLC's anonymously. Since I'm located in Ohio, I know my state doesn't do it. Therefore I'd have to do it in a other state, then do some type of filing here? I know there's lawyers who do it, but I have no mass funds for one. I thought I could file for a LLC then do several DBA's under it to keep my info out of the public. Well seems I was dead wrong on that. Lastly, I'm concerned if I do the anonymous LLC's how does that work trying to get business credit? Will it make it harder?

Help me name my business!
It's been agonizing for me to decide on a name for a potential bookkeeping+ business. It will also expand into other areas, so consulting is an option for a name too. Which one do you like? Or do you have any ideas? [View Poll](https://www.reddit.com/poll/14shxbr)

Thinking of starting a business, any opinions?
So, 2 dear friends of mine and myself are thinking of starting a business together. We are in the software field and are thinking of making an application for restaurants that would let customers use a QR code to access the restaurant's menu to order at the table. Eventually we'd like to expand this idea by using an application where the customer could order the food before getting to the restaurant/cafe. I've seen this type of app in other countries, but not in ours. Any opinions about our idea? How could we make the application more appealing to restaurant/cafe owners, in order for them to implement this in their restaurant/cafe and make their life's easier. If you have any advises, either from restaurant/cafe owners or from fellow programmers and entrepreneurs, please feel free to comment down below.

Has anyone started an absentee owner business from scratch?
I'm in a position that it's not worth the sweat equity for me to start as an active worker in the business until it scales up a bit more. So I've been looking into buying an existing one. However, has anyone been able to start a business mostly as an absentee? (ie hire labor, accounting, marketing, and whatever the specific business needs) Anyone care to share their experiences?

What makes your business unique in comparison to other businesses similar to yours?
I have an interview next week for our local newspaper and this question really got me stuck. Is it too blah to say something like “family business” or “we’re honest and provide a customer service experience you won’t find in bigger retail stores”? what would you guys answer? Thanks!

Creating a website from 0
I have the idea of creating an online psychological therapy business for which I want to create a website. I have seen different videos and each one has its method, however, does anyone know how much it costs to create a web page and it can be done without the need to know how to program professionally? Any idea to succeed in the business
