Yoga and the balance of eating enough

I never went into this practice with the goal of losing weight and getting slim because I have always been pretty slim my whole life. But here I am, 5 months into my practice and I have went from 66 kg to 60 kg which is the lowest I have been since I was basically a kid. I am vegan and I eat around 2 meals a day, one smaller and one larger and I barely eat anything aside of this. This makes me feel great. I feel energized and light during a larger window of my waking hours but at the same time it has made me lose this weight I did not really intended to do. Although my current diet is great for my practice I feel like I want to make some kind of change and would love to hear other peoples solutions to this. How do other yogis find the balance in this? Eating enough to build muscle and still being able to feel light and energized

Yoga for lower back pain relief?

I usually only get lower back pain for a day or two during my periods, however it's been almost a month and it's still here! Yesterday I was helping clean a friend's house and the pain has upped a few notches. Who here has done yoga for pain relief? Did it help? What are some exercises/ movements you recommend?

How can I motivate someone older to start doing yoga?

Hi everyone! I've been practicing yoga (mainly ashtanga) for about a year and I've loved the progress I've seen with joint mobility, balance, and strength. I'm watching my parents get older, and it's tough. They're not the same active parents I grew up with, and I really want them to be able-bodied as they get even older. I know they're somewhat interested in yoga, but I have a hard time motivating them to stick to it. I also don't know how to make it accessible for their age and physical limits (early 50s/back+shoulder pains). Any ideas on how to introduce someone older into yoga?
