Cleaning my car

I'm cleaning my Honda Accord because it's pretty dirty and hasn't had the inside cleaned in years. I'm not moving the seats because idk how, but I took the rugs out. The rugs are the dirtiest naturally. They have dirt stains from feet and also from an incident involving potted plants (rip pathos) I have a little old carpet cleaner but it does not work well. It barely scrubs and barely sucks. I don't have an actual extractor. I do have a steamer. What should I use to clean the car? I don't have anything specially for cars, but I have dawn dish soap and lots of multi surface stuff. My rugs are beige. Will dawn dish soap do the trick? Will it stain the rugs? And can I use it inside the car without an extractor?
