Want to start a business I have 10k
So I just got 10k from a settlement and I know it’s not a huge amount but I want to start a business. I’ve considered dog grooming, barbershop etc but am afraid to have a high rent and not be able to float it while building clientele. Have also considered power washing/landscaping and I know just the truck would take a huge chunk. Anyone have any advice?

Starting small biz? Want to talk about it on podcast ?
Hi, I host a podcast called "This is Uncomfortable," which is produced by Marketplace (a show that airs on NPR stations). The podcast is about our relationship with money. I'm interested in finding folks who've taken some initial first steps to creating a startup and would be open to documenting their journey. Ideally, I'm looking for people with interesting backstories and/or a unique business concept. Feel free to DM me if you're interested, so I can explain more and see if it'd be a good fit!

What is it like to own a FedEx Route?
There are FedEx routes for sale in my neighborhood. I have no experience / idea about this business. I wonder if anyone here could share their experience owning a FedEx route. Also how to evaluate the business. Thanks!

Paying employees Monday rather than Fridays
As the title states I'm currently paying employees Monday rather than Friday in short I slowly moved to the following since most employees when paid Friday wouldn't show up on Saturday (busiest day) because they would either go party or just be irresponsible etc... However now that I pay Monday I don't see these issues anymore. However I do want to know if there's any logic etc as to why most companies pay on Friday. I'm located in Texas and own a small business 3 employees only but would like to learn more as I grow to make things right for them etc.

Small service business. Need to rebrand and redo website
I own a small sole proprietor LLC. I sell and install residential and commercial camera systems. Starting year 3. Worked in the industry for 23 years. Is it best to use a local website designer so you can sit down and trade ideas? I need something that looks professional but not crazy expensive. My friend helped me with my current one but he's busy so don't want to ask him again. Couple years ago I tried wix myself but didn't turn out great. It'd be nice if someone could browse equipment I offer but doesn't need to be an e-commerce store. Also I'm not great with marketing so some suggestions for that too. Thanks in advance

Best way to accept payment at a flea market / rock concert scenario?
I'm literally about to order a Square reader, but did some sleuthing and it seems folks are divided on it. What's the current "best" method?

Good or bad idea to go into business with your father?
We both have years in the food industry and want to open an ice cream shop. I am trying to see if anyone has history or knows of any father/son combo who has worked together and how it affected their relationship. Thanks
