For those of you who started your business as a side gig, at what point did you know it was time to switch to full time?
Right now since I’m only doing this part time and limited to one day a week at the market it’s pulling in anywhere from $50-300 a week in profit. I’ve had local stores reach out wanting to sell my product but to keep up with demand I’d have to go full time. Right now my regular job is in banking and I see plenty of small business owners struggling to stay afloat and don’t want to put myself in the same situation prematurely. And is there anyone here who ships food items as part of their business? I’m food based but currently limited by a home processor permit and contemplating the jump to a commercial kitchen. But again, I’d have to be doing this full time to justify the cost of kitchen rental. Should I wait and continue to save for the time being?
