I’m an amateur photographer and want to to sell on a website what platform would be the best for this? (I’m a novice if that)

How do you sell for a profit through transaction fees?
I own a small, one man IT business. For the average consumer purchase, I'm normally losing money in the sale. If I price my products the same or lower than say the local retailers, which I have reseller accounts with, as well as distributors. Depending on the product and timing of the request from a customer, I'll either use my reseller account to buy retail, and either break even, or make a profit if I used a discount/credit for the product. Then I also have to charge the customer sales tax. By the time we get to the customer making a purchase on my site, the paypal/quickbooks/godaddy fees cut into the total, then the cost of the product, and the sales tax. So by the time I pay all of that, I would be at a loss, unless I charged the customer an uncompetitive amount just to make the sale. I'm almost at the point of dropping the product sales outside of public sector bids, and strictly doing services.

Socializing as a young business owner is more difficult
Im 20 and have been able to reach a net worth of 200k. Most people I’m around is other business owners/suppliers, most of them are over the age of 30. I don’t have a problem talking with older people the only thing is we tend to not have much in common compared to the younger crowd. Then there’s the younger people, my age. Most people my age are broke, immature, irresponsible and it’s difficult finding someone I can relate to with all this. I like talking with older people they’re more mature and can offer more advice when needed but most think I’m just some broke college student or don’t treat me with the same amount of respect as someone that may be older. So this is why I think it’s more difficult being an entrepreneur in my age. I’d love to hear what you all have experienced if similar or completely different

What's the most secure way of not getting scammed when transferring money overseas to a seller ?
I am buying something from a company in the US. (That's what he's claiming his locations is). The amount is huge and I am not sure if a bank transfer or TT would cover me like paypal does. He is asking for that method of payment. I have never transferred money before. How did you handle this situation if you ever came across it ? Thanks
