I just “got” the warrior poses
This might not make sense, as I know the warrior poses are pretty basic intro poses, but after about two months of practicing twice a week I find that the warrior poses have “clicked” for me. I no longer need to pay such deep attention to where my knee is, I no longer feel like I’m holding my body in a position and trying to engage my muscles and worrying about left V right. I now feel like I can move into them with flow and there is the balance, strength, and steadiness that the instructor talks about that I couldn’t just achieve through willpower. This feels pretty cool as I always thought of this pose as “easy” but it’s like I’ve suddenly levelled up and my body now has an understanding of what I’m trying to do.

Mat dimensions for a tall guy with hard floors?
Hey y’all, I’m looking for a new mat. I got a thinner mat a few years ago because I was practicing on carpet and there was too much cush. Now in my new home I’m practicing on hardwood floors and it’s hurting my knees, especially if I’m in a child’s pose with them wide. I’m also a tall guy (6’2”) so I’m interested in a longer mat that my feet don’t hang off of. Does anyone have any recommendations for how thick/long I should be looking for? Specific recommendations are also helpful. My current front runner is a Manduka PRO that’s 85” long and 6mm thick, but 130 seems really steep. I’m willing to do it though if that would be long enough and not hurt my knees. Thanks!

Yoga for stretching on off days - beginner
I've been at mobility training for about a month now. On my off days, I would like to add some sort of easy, gentle stretching. I was wondering if anyone had any youtube video recommendations that are explicitly geared towards beginners. I can't have a flat back because of my tightness. On all the youtube yoga videos I've done, none of them demonstrate how to alter them for me. I notice pain in my lower back when I try to follow these videos... I'd need a video that explicitly demonstrates the modified yoga poses. Thanks

Transitioning through late summer the sun seemingly hangs lower in the sky, bringing us closer to transition into fall & all its fiery glory! 🍁 For some, this transition is a time of mourning as we leave behind the yang energy of summer for the incoming wind & chill in the air. https://t.co/ssat15u1oX

Would yoga help with scoliosis?
Hello! I (18F) have a very mild case of early scoliosis, caused by constant curved posture while writing/studying during my school years lol. Doctor says it's treatable and encourages me to do "scoliosis exercises" and just lean the other way when sitting. I do the exercises from time to time, but the shifting of my spine feels extremely painful and often leaves me fatigued for the entire day. I've been on and off yoga for multiple years now but I think I stopped doing yoga daily when the back pain got too bad. Would it help now? With either the scoliosis or the upper back pain? Any extra tips on treating scoliosis faster would also be greatly appreciated!
