SEO companies legitimacy
Hello all. I've lurked on here for some time, and wanted to see if anyone has feedback for me to improve my organic online presence. My webpage is built through Wix, and I hired a company (Zoek) vetted by them to work on my SEO. It's been almost 90 days since and my webpage has actually ranked down instead of up. It's been a terrible experience, and I wanted to know if there are indicators of legitimate SEO companies. I know most of them advertise "Rank page 1 on Google" garbage, but what kinds of questions should I ask to see if they are legit or not? Further, it seems that my Wix host is likely not the place to rank my page up. I had another SEO company that appears legit tell me that they will not be able to rank my page up through Wix. Instead, it needs to be transferred to Wordpress. Is this true? I was never a fan of Wix, but since I'm a startup with little working capital, I went with the cheaper option for now. TIA!

Cost for a CPA?
I just started a small ornamental landscaping business in central Florida. It's pretty much just me & it's a sole proprietorship. How much should I allocate to pay a CPA?

I'm starting a photo/video/multimedia studio. Anyone have experience?
I have a couple businesses that provide a comfortable living, but I'm going to open a studio/event space in Austin for something a little more fun. I just secured a lease for 10,000sqft at a rate of 15k/month, which is pretty good for Austin. I'll have 4 distinct studios (main open space, large cyc wall, small portrait/product and a high end kitchen studio). I anticipate about 80-100k for build out and start up expenses. My day rates will range from 500-1300 and assuming 50% occupancy I'll net 41,000/month. I've always wanted a service oriented business and this seems like a relatively easy one to get into with minimal day to day headaches so a college kid can most likely man the ship. Eventually I'll start renting equipment but the up front cost of that is a little much right now. Anyone have any experience running something like this? Would appreciate any insight! Thanks!

Do people care about "businesses doing good"
I am the owner of a new investment advisory practice. Because of the current political and social climate (as well as some personal ethical considerations) I decided to make a donation to a financially related nonprofit for each client who hires me as an advisor. I thought this would be a big hit with wealthy, philanthropic minded individuals, however, it seems like most people aren't super interested in this. When I explain it, i usually get a "oh neat" or something similar. am i not explaining it well eenough, or do consumers not care? On invoices and some email marketing material I put the following as well " Create Wealth donates a bank account to a family in a third world country for each client who does business with us, you included! We look forward to helping you Create Wealth. " Advice appreciated!

● A 48-hour crypto drama ended in shock as Binance agreed to acquire its most formidable rival, FTX, after helping whip up an investor exodus from billionaire Sam Bankman Fried’s three-year-old exchange. ● The sharp turn of events will reshape the more than $1 trillion industry amid a possibly prolonged market downturn. The two founders made the announcement on Twitter concurrently. ● The tension between Bankman-Fried and Zhao has been brewing almost since the start. Back in 2019, Binance invested into FTX, then a derivatives exchange. The next year, Binance launched its own crypto derivatives, quickly becoming the leader in this space. ● Tap the link in our bio for more. (📸: Jeenah Moon/Bloomberg)

Mobile meat processing
You could make good money if you know how to process meat. Just get some carbon dioxide and go to people's farms to slaughter and process animals in house. Any thoughts?

How did you get your clients ?
Hello ! I'm struggling a lot on getting some clients. I mainly do websites for local businesses. I can say in my country there is a shortage in this field and I could say that probably 1 out of 7 or 8 websites has a good aspect and functions well. I have tried every method that I can afford. Daily cold emails and cold calls, atleast 20 of them everyday of the past 2 weeks. If someone is interested, I design for them a first page template free of charge. I do this mainly because I don't have such a big portofolio, just some things I have worked in time like online shops. My price is not the lowest and not the highest - offering SEO optimization and maintenance for the first 6 months. I have competitors that I feel they are doing this just for the sake of doing, with outdated designs and really low performance, but getting a lot of clients. What would you do or what you did in my situation ? Thank you in advance !

Anyone have experience with selling fashion items on Instagram using Shopify?
My sister and I have a women's fashion business. Right now, we sell in person at local markets and host trunk shows. We'd like to make the leap to selling mostly online. I see ads for similar items on Instagram and think a lot of the shops I see are hosted by Shopify. I'm wondering if the market is too saturated or is this a great time to jump in with our unique designs? Anyone have a successful Instagram/Facebook fashion business? FYI, Our target market is middle-aged women.

Why not find another dude in the same exact predicament and go in on a place together until circumstances improve.

HOUSE BILL BH735
This bill will eliminate specialty licensing. Meaning that you need a general contractor to pull permits. Any thoughts on this? Any way around it? This is going to make many small businesses go under.

Looking for Tips to grow my business
I’m in the MSP, technology reseller + installation space. I have these certs: NMSDC ,local big city MBE, BEP, and USBC certs. We’ve done small - medium scale projects, but work is inconsistent. I know networking is critical for growing a small business. I’m on supplier diversity portals, I go to networking events, and am able to sell myself pretty well. It’s easier to talk to large companies since they are are usually the ones at networking events, but getting work in the form of a subcontract from these large IT providers seems like a pipe dream to me. I have gotten free consulting as a result of my efforts from well known institutions, which has been an amazing resource, but other than that it feels like I’m being sent to blackholes. Does anyone have any tips and ideas to help us grow?

Is Local Services Ads a thing?
Recently, I've been marketed Local Services Ads from google. I've never heard of these before, but after brief research, it appears to be another form of Google Ads, except it doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth when you're browsing the web. Has anyone used LSAs and found it helpful/better than Google Ads PPC? I myself would never be a customer to LSA, because I use adblock on my browser. I'm wondering what kind of clientele I would get if I were to run LSAs. I operate in the legal niche in my locality. It's extremely competitive and my marketing budget cannot compete with the big players. It looks like there are about 5 LSA competitors in my area. I'm currently running Google Ads for about 400/mn, but LSAs would cost be around 1-2k per month. The conversion rate for Ads is about break even, but I don't know what kind of conversion I would see with LSA. Input on actual experience with LSA is greatly appreciated! TIA.
