Asking for discount or questioning why prices are so high

I’m so sick of rich ass people complaining about pricing. We have had to raise prices in order to stay afloat due to the rising costs of literally everything and I’m so tired of people who live in 1.5 million dollar homes asking me for a discount or why can’t I match the price I gave them 2 years ago. I live very modestly. I don’t run a business to be rich and take peoples money so I can live large. It’s just so annoying that people act like I’m being selfish charging my prices when I’m just trying to survive.

Is my business name too similar to existing business?

Business name examples (not exact names): Mine: Fun Times Existing: Fun Times Designs Completely different businesses and services. Would it be denied anyway? Should I go for something else just to not have a similar name anyway? I have a few name ideas but this was my number 1 and I just started the process.

I have some basic questions about LLCs and S-Corps

Is it true that I cannot deduct my bought materials for my painting without an LLC? If I did this full time it would easily be thousands of dollars per year in materials I could be writing off. I have sold some paintings to people and have scaled up my drying racks and boxes and have been painting way more. I want an LLC anyways for organization purposes and legitimacy. Also when would an S-Corp or LLC taxed like an S-Corp be a viable thing to switch to, or start now?

how do you explain a discrepancy on a sales report to a tax auditor?

I made a stupid mistake by forgetting to edit all the sales categories items on my pos report. Now the total sales categories number is $5000 short compare to the actual sales. The tax auditor is asking me to explain why the discrepancy is? What should I explain to her? Please help.......................

Under 18 LLC owner in TX?

Hello, I'm turning 18 in a couple of months but would like to register my eCommerce business as soon as possible but I'd have to be 18 to register in Texas. So should I register in a different state? Should I just conduct business unregistered until I'm 18? Would love to hear your thoughts and possible options, also how would the government know I'm under 18 when registering? Thanks

ideas for a real business

I would like to start a new business, but I'm not sure what to do. I am not looking for a job. I have a job. I want to open a business with employees. I have a very small software development company where I also work full time. I intened to keep this nerd job and don't want to work day-to-day at the new business. I've also built a rental house business that is nearly 70 houses. I also worked there at the begining, but now I have 2 employees that handle almost everything. I have no day-to-day involvement. I am looking to start something else, but need ideas on what to start. I should be able to fund a moderate size business without a partner, but I don't mind partnering with someone who knows the business. Any ideas?

Teen small business

I’m 17 and love flipping shoes and purses wholesale (I buy as well as sell) and Ik that finding customers are hard. I’ve sold to people for no profit just to get other customers. Ive even cut my prices to half retail so I could be cheaper than most and still gather customers and spread. I would love advice on how to grow my small online flipping business. Order of operations question when going through initial set up.

Hey im in the early stages of this business launch my question is about protecting myself and ideas while going through R&D as well as licensing and signing on people to the project. literally trying to put the steps in order. (BTW) I know there are a tone of micro step in between these. Hey everyone, ​ I've always found paying contractors a pain (managing invoices etc.) and have been trying to find some solutions to make my life easier. Looking for a mentor

A little background about myself. I am active duty Airforce. I have been in 10 years, traveled the world, done some amazing things, and promoted faster than many of my peers. My life is stable, bills are paid, and my family is secure. I only say this because I have been battling with these thoughts of leaving and starting a business and living life by my own terms. I do not doubt that I would be happier becoming an entrepreneur, however taking the plunge and essentially starting over is a difficult concept for me to reach towards. I want the freedom, and I know I would kill it as a business owner, simply based on my experience in the service. I am looking for a mentor that can give me advice and maybe share their experiences of starting a business in a similar scenario to mine. My goals are not huge, as I simply want to start a small service based home exterior business. Pressure wash, yard waste clean up, gutters etc..

If the previous company that was in the building we are renting has an occupancy Certificate for a business that is similar to mine, (both healthcare), do we still need to have it redone?

I would like to go off of their occupancy certificate if that is a possibility to be able to get open sooner. But I don’t know if this is allowed.

Real Estate website with ability to comment on property.

I am a real estate investor and I want to know what other people think of a property before buying it. Especially other people who have already looked at the property. If there are crazy neighbors or the land gets no sun cause it's behind a mountain or whatever, It would be nice to know this so I don't have to waste my time calling the realtor, leaving a message, waiting for a call back, then being lied to by the realtor because they just want to sell the property and don't tell me all the bad stuff about it.
