A mouse has apparently made a home in between this soft covering and the hood. My car smells like crap and mouse poop falls out when I open the hood. To remove it, can I just unsnap the little pegs that hold it in place? I just don’t want to destroy them while removing. Also, gross.

Follow up to mouse in hood. So it looks like it made its next here. How vital is it that I even have this spongy mouse-laden insulation in my car? I really don’t want to keep it on but I don’t know how important it is. I have no idea what it’s called so couldn’t find anything online. Thank you!
