The current strategy among the more dishonest avatar collectors is to find rare avatars owned by Redditors that haven’t linked theirs to OpenSea yet. They will come across as very friendly and generous, but are all offering much, much, much lower than market value. If you get one of these offers, immediately assume that your avatar is worth at least 4-5 times what the person is offering. Go to OpenSea and sell it yourself - it is worth the effort for potentially thousands of dollars. These people aren’t doing anything illegal, but it is extremely dishonest and just happened to my brother with an avatar that typically sells for 1-2 eth. He was offered .3 eth and took it because he didnt know what it was actually selling for on opensea. He missed out on $2000 dollars. Don’t let these hustlers take your money, go to OpenSea and sell it yourself.

Prepare for 2nd Gen reddit avatars

If your like me and ignored the release of the gen 1 avatars and are feeling that sharp stabbing pain of fomo, fear not. First, you may be able to pickup a few 1st gen avatars left in the store. Second, we should be seeing another a 2nd gen at some point in the near future. The reason I bring up the 2nd gen is the fact we should expect them to sell out quickly knowing what we know now, so being prepared for it is important. While there is no guarantees any of these will be worth anything in the future the potential is there. We could be looking back years later and these first few releases of avatars could be the holy land of reddit avatars, desired by all.
