Printing on aquarel/watercolor paper

Hi everyone! For our wedding invitations (trial) I would like to print the invitations on some pretty, texturized paper. My first thought was to use aquarel/watercolor paper for this. I then bought a block of paper with 300gram / 140lb, however, our printer (a normal home-printer) seems to have massive issues with printing on this paper with the large weight. Has anyone tried something similar, what weight would you recommend, or is there perhaps another trick? Many thanks in advance!
