We’ve made some changes around the office too. There’s a dedicated quiet area to take sensitive phone calls. And we’ve put in a medical fridge to keep important things separate from the main one. Nobody wants their important medication next to our Ellie’s tuna sandwiches.

The policy gives those undergoing fertility treatment, as well as their partner if they have one, access to a set allowance of paid leave days per cycle (separate to any other leave), as well as enhanced flexible working during this time.

TO SHOUT ABOUT OUR POLICY EVEN MORE THAN WE ARE DOING WITH THE START OF THIS SENTENCE, we hosted a virtual event for all our staff. We invited fertility expert @fertjourney, who helped us create our policy, to talk about it with our entire office. Answering any burning questions.

Starting in January 2023, the Fertility Friendly Workplace policy allows us to be truly supportive of all families – including those trying to build one. Going on a fertility journey can put people under a lot of pressure. Which is why we want to be as accommodating as possible.

As well as supporting those with identified fertility issues, the policy is also there to help give same sex couples and solo parents the opportunity to start a family too.
