The Skagit Valley is home to hundreds and hundreds of acres of flower fields that are in full, rolling bloom every spring. The daffodils start sometime in March (depending on weather) and just as they begin to fade the tulips take their place giving us a least two solid months of beauty. If you’re planning on making the trek up to our valley to see the fields and attend the skagitvalleytulipfestival we’ve created a visitors guide with all of my favorite things to do in our area. A little warning that traffic is crazy on the weekends so I’d try and make the trip mid week if at all possible! If you’re not local but love daffodils and want to see my favorite varieties for growing and arranging with you can download Floret’s Favorite Daffodil & Narcissus Guide which profiles over 80 unique varieties. Links to both are in my profile. Enjoy! This beautiful field belongs to roozengaarde 💫 #ayearinflowers

Happy Monday! I’m usually a really early riser but I’m not gonna lie I had a hard time dragging myself out of bed this morning. It’s go time on the farm right now & we are running 100mph with so many things needing to be done all at the same time. I’m honestly so heads down working that sometimes I forget & have to remind myself oh wait we have flowers that need to be harvested. 🤣 So here’s some of the beauty coming off the farm to kick off the week. I hope it makes you smile….. I’m off to pour another cup of coffee & get to work. Have a great day everybody! Did you know..? Daffodils (Narcissus) are sometimes called lent lilies as they often bloom between Ash Wednesday and Easter. They're not actually lilies but belong to the Amaryllidaceae family, which is the same as snowdrops. https://t.co/sRIy3nqFSG
