Christian Tachev claimed that he worked as a personal trainer and sold vapes in order to make ends meet, but in truth he was the courier in a ‘sophisticated’ drugs operation that worked in Western Australia. Tachev was responsible for moving around bags of money and drugs for biker-affiliated criminals and was sentenced to 11 years in prison on Wednesday. Unbeknownst to him, the police had been conducting a sting and managed to capture the exact moment that he realised that a huge amount of drugs - which a judge said had a street value of between AU $9,910,934 (£5.7m/$7.5m) and AU $12,373,342 (£7.2m/US $9.4m) - weren't in the spot that he’d buried them in the bushland 😬

Around 60 paratroopers had been stationed at their Pskov headquarters in northern Russia before they were moved to Belarus as part of the invasion. However, they refused to follow orders and were sent back to their Russian base in disgrace. According to reports in Russia, the 'elite' servicemen have now been branded 'cowards' by some and could face lengthy prison sentences. The Russian opposition outlet Pskovskaya Guberniya said: "About 60 servicemen from Pskov refused to go to war on Ukrainian territory, according to our sources. After the first days of the war, they were first brought to the Republic of Belarus, and then they returned to their base in Pskov. "Most of them are currently being dismissed, but some are threatened with criminal cases."
