It's for real, but the five games that tried to use it all went broke because it's so expensive to run. Currently, they're thinking in terms of using it only for big special events, with someone paying for a huge number of NVidia GeForce Go servers for a few hours. There's an online dev world for which you can request access. But it requires a Google or Twitter account. Read through their "litepaper". This might, or might not, be significant. Improbable has a lot of funding, but hasn't accomplished as much as they should have for the amount expended.
