My son (3.5 months old) loves when I play banjo. We do this every morning so he can dance and I can practice!

14-month-old stacked nine blocks all by herself!

Yes, I know it's not much, but she spent forty minutes stacking two blocks, three blocks, whimpering when they fell over, doing it again, again, and again, and suddenly she squeals and I turn around, and there are nine blocks stacked up and standing steady! I was so proud of her, and she was so proud of herself! I snapped a photo to send to all my relatives and she flapped her arms up and down for nearly a minute straight. Then she tried to put a tenth block on top, and it fell. I can't get over how disappointed the look on her face was after that. She scattered the blocks angrily and came and snuggled into my leg. Then we went and ate some blueberry yogurt.

I was telling my son that it's Inauguration Day and it's kind of a big deal that we will be swearing in our first female Vice President. My husband interrupted us and said, "No, it's a HUGE deal!" And I couldn't be prouder.

My kid was voted as the ugliest in his class but I am proud of him !

Today my son came to me telling that his collegues voted him as the ugliest in the class (at least he had a few votes more than others). They stared some kind of polling games with various stupid questions on what’s up where responded anonymously. He was really upset and me as a parent tried to cheers him up but to be honest I was crying inside for him.He is such a good boy, not at all ugly, keen to have friends and to be accepted. Wonder why kids can be so mean and enjoy to hurt some of them ? When I asked him if he voted he said he would never do such a thing and did not participated still the results were posted on the group. I was so proud of him, as being offended for free still never wanted to do the same back ! Wonder what should i do to strenght his morale for such events ?

For the first time ever, the Presidential Inaugural Committee has put together programming specifically for kids! On Wednesday, actress Keke Palmer is hosting a curated livestream titled "Our White House: An Inaugural Celebration for Young Americans" which will take place before and during the inauguration ceremony starting at 10 a.m. EST. The event will include a message from Dr. Jill Biden, who holds a doctorate in education, and a segment on the presidential pets, Champ and Major, who will be the first pets in the White House after four years! Lastly, I’ll put a link in my bio for “I Do Solemnly Swear: The U.S. Presidential Inauguration” which premiered today on Discovery Education. It’s a 22 minute video that teaches kids all about the history of the inauguration 🇺🇸 I’ll put the link to the livestream on my story!

11 month old is an anomaly!

She has been waking up every hour, all night long...since Thanksgiving. She immediately sits up and can’t seem to figure out how to put herself back down. We have tried several versions of sleep training, with absolutely no success. She has randomly slept 10 hours straight a few times, so I KNOW she can. What is the issue? Is this a sleep regression, separation anxiety? Is she eating something that’s bothering her? I have no idea what I’m doing and I feel like I am the only parent whose child isn’t sleeping somewhat normally at this point in time.

Pre partum depression with a toddler

Severe Pre-partum depression I’m 12 weeks pregnant and fighting terrible depression. I’m on an antidepressant which has made it so I don’t have to be hospitalized but I’m really struggling. I wanted this pregnancy so badly but this is killing me. I stay at home with my two and a half year old and I am really struggling with being a good mom. She gets way too much TV because I have so little energy to give. She has seen me cry so many times and I am worried it’s going to cause trauma for her to have such a messed up mom. I don’t really know why I’m posting... maybe for support or maybe for ideas.... I don’t know. Just really having a hard time
