My kid told my dad he was sad he wasn't going to have a Valentine's Day party at school with his friends because he liked getting notes and candy. A couple days later he received a package filled with candy & notes about why his grandpa loved him. Grandparents are the best.

Husband doesn’t know where our groceries go, or dishes, and he doesn’t know which of our kids sleeps on which bunk. On a scale from 0-Complete Stranger Off The Street, how weird is this?
I think I need to take a solo trip for a month so he can re-acclimate himself to his OWN HOME.

You are not weak or a failure if you've had to increase your medication. You are strong to recognize that you needed help, and brave to ask for it. Let me repeat this: you are strong and brave.

Is it worth it giving birth to siblings?
I currently have a 2.5 year old and the only reason why I want to have another child is so that my little one will have a sibling. I’m sure I’ll love the second one.. but I see more pros being one and done than having another child (ex. more money in the pocket; ample, healthy amount of attention and better resources/schooling for our current child) But— every only child I’ve met says that it was lonely growing up. I personally have an older brother and love that I have a sibling. And I want that for my kid. I’m aware that life doesn’t always work out the way you expect. There’s no guarantee that they’ll get along. There’s no guarantee both kids will love and support each other. I have one friend who’s grateful she had a sister because it taught her what NOT to do. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Since nobody asks us anymore, how are you?
Since becoming a dad, I've realized nobody cares about me anymore. Jokingly of course, but nobody asks how I am, just how are the kids and the wife. They never ask me how I'm doing. So dad's or whoever of reddit, how are you?

What the heck is up with sizing on kids clothes!?
As the title states... what the hell!? 6-9 months? Like 7 different sizes. 6 of which won’t actually fit in that age bracket. Same goes for EVERY. SINGLE. SIZE/AGE. BRACKET. My 16 month old? Yeah. He’s average height and weight as per doctors and research (32ish inches/25-26 lbs) and he’s growing out of 2T stuff at the moment. Thankfully, the local buy nothing group constantly has clothing for kids on it, so we have a stash of bigger sizes... But dammit! These are worse than women’s clothing! (Note to partners: clothes are the worst thing to randomly pick out for your wife). /End dad rant 😂

10 year old outside alone
My 10 year old loves to exercise. She recently started asking to go for a run outside. I live in a apartment complex right next to the community play ground. There’s a walkway that completely circles the building and it’s fenced in from the main road. I keep track of the time she’s outside but she’s usually no more then 20 minutes. I didn’t see a problem with her running around the building until my mother came for a visit. She thinks it’s dangerous to allow her to jog outside by herself. Am I being irresponsible for letting her do this?

My brother is five years older than me. My first summer home from college I called him and said, "Hey, I just heard this band I like is playing at City Market. Would you..." Before I even finished he said, "Let me know what time I can pick you up. Can't wait."
