I let the baby cry
I don’t even know if I picked the right flair/rant whatever. I needed a shower. I couldn’t remember the last time I showered. Gross, I know. I felt it. I told my 4 month old she needed to just chill (cause you know, 4 month olds listen, right?) her daddy was sleeping right next to her. She was cooing and babbling until I stepped into the shower. Then it was whines. And I just let her whine. My husband slept through it. I didn’t care. She wasn’t screaming...just whining loud enough to where I could hear it. But DAMN! That shower felt amazing.

Husband too hard on my child
I have a 10 year old and am remarried. My husband does a lot for my child, and including homeschooling for the past year since the pandemic started. I’ve said on numerous times that I believe he’s too hard on my child with corrections, just verbal corrections and when I have said something to him my husband takes offense. I have said I should handle discipline and don’t feel like that my child should have to be yelled at by 3 separate people who have different rules (myself, my husband and my ex husband). I almost feel like my husband gets jealous and wants it tattle on my child about every little thing, the majority of them being things I could care less about. Am I too laid back? How do I get my husband to understand and not pick apart things my child does just for being a 10 year old kid?

ISO experiences re: Brothers/Sisters sharing a room
We are considering buying a townhouse that would mean our kids would have to share a room indefinitely. A small room with bunk beds. Girl (6), boy (2) adore each other right now and girl is happy to share a room. I figure we have maybe 4 years before she's had enough. Would love to hear from others that have used this arrangement!

New favorite breakfast - easy - Huevos Rancheros
I'm not much of a cook. And by happy accident just happened to throw something together one morning based on what ingredients I had around. So I put an egg on a corn tortilla with some salsa and cheddar and called it a Huevos Rancheros (wasn't sure I had it right but was close enough!). My kid loved it and now it's his new favorite. And it's very easy to make! (you can add on various ingredients like sour cream, beans, onion, etc) (note: my kid (6B) loves it with a runny yolk, I do too)

3 year olds waiting to go to Grampa’s house and people who just smoked weed for the first time both experience time passing the same way.
Sounds like a toddler production of Waiting for Godot in here.

And there goes the second one.....
So I wear necklaces and my lo loves to place with them while I wear them. Dad outgrew his wedding band and while I was preggers mine didn't fit. I took to wearing his on a chain and just haven't stopped. Now lo is 6mo old and in the span of two weeks he's managed to break two necklaces by pulling on dad's ring. The box chain, which is several years old and the wheat chain (brand new) both which are gold, just broke with a tug. Any ideas on what kind of chain to get that will be baby proof and go nicely with a yellow gold ring?
