Overwhelming amount of towels, burp cloths, and swaddle blankets.

Do you actually need more than 5 of each one of these? Some were hand me downs, others were gifted. I’m thinking of donating most of it and keeping a little amount of each item, maybe 5-10 of each. I’m a FTM, so not really sure if I need more than 5-10 of each of these items!

"They're so excited about the old normal, they don't realize the old normal wasn't healthy. We had mental health problems, stress and sleep deprivation before the pandemic, so I'd like to see some real changes.” @callmeKi https://t.co/hTflRJccoi

How did you feel when you stopped breastfeeding?

I just stopped (1 year and 2 months) and feel like my old self again. All my old energy came back and I can finally get things done without a huge psychological effort to get started. I’m so relieved. I guess you can turn the question around and ask: how did breastfeeding affect you (if it did)?

Who else got really excited their kid slept in and then realized we technically lost an hour??

Me? Just me?? ... ugh. LO is doing great with sleeping through the night, with the occasional "I'm teething" hiccup. I have been really fortunate. He always wakes up at 5am - regardless of what time we put him down, but now I'm kind of used to it. Today I woke up at 6:15 and he was still asleep - WHAT A TREAT! Oh my God I was so excited in my bed. This is it! His schedule is changing! I'm going to be able to sleep just a little longer! He woke up around 6:30 and we went downstairs to make the bottle.. then I saw the oven. And the microwave. And the weird clock we have that no one uses. 5:30 am. Boo. BOOOOO. Oh well. At least I will always have those 15 minutes of pure bliss!

My little toddler tested positive for Covid and isn’t well. I’m staying strong but am a bit scared

We tested positive today and are fighting his high fever that is really hard to bring down and when we do it doesn’t stay down for too long. Poor thing is exhausted, doesn’t eat, drinks very little and sleeps all day. I’m very worried, husband says we need to give him time.. I would be calling an ambulance if not him, am I overreacting?

Whoever stole my fucking package from my mailbox

I hope you enjoy my fucking skincare you stupid little asshole. I’m sure it’ll serve you well. I just ran out this morning and was so happy to have two backup bottles of toner being delivered, but fuck me. I’m sure it was totally worth it for you. I hope you get wrecked asshole. I’m so sick of my mail getting stolen, roving packs of assholes wandering at night getting into cars, people stealing cards for holidays, etc. I’m tired of being paranoid about not getting the shit I spent my money on, saved up for, only to get jacked by someone who’s probably just going to toss it in the trash. I’m so fucking distraught. I cannot have anything nice, ever. It has been a week from hell and this was the cherry on the shit cake.

Any evidence based research on how to instill self esteem in kids?

My daughter is about to turn a year old and I am interested in what are some of the best ways to make sure she has a healthy amount of self esteem? What should I and her dad be doing? And conversely, what should we not be doing. I am especially interested in science backed books on this. Thanks!!

A cocomelon rant

Ok- how old is JJ supposed to be? Because nothing makes sense. The kid is in preschool. Surface level I’d guess he is like 3? He’s still in a crib and just getting potty trained. However, if he is three, why does he (and his whole class) only have two teeth!?! My kid had more than 2 teeth by like 8 months… Where does Miss Appleberry get off taking a bunch of toddlers skiing? I feel like this is an inappropriate field trip for barely potty trained, toothless aged toddlers. Same with the beach. Do you want to have one of these children drown on your watch, miss appleberry? Also at least several instances of JJ in the car with no car seat. WHAT! Shitty parenting right there, coco parents. Not that I expect much from that creep ass loser dad who I just hate so so much (but that’s another rant). Anyways- how old do you guys think JJ is supposed to be and why do you think he has no teeth?

I’ve decided 2 months is the best stage

I mean, I don’t have any experience beyond the 2 month stage, so I can’t really say for sure. But so far, this is fabulous. LO is sleeping on average 8 hours straight a night, he smiles constantly, his coos are adorable, and he’s still my small baby that fits perfectly in my arms. He learns something new every day it seems, even if it’s a small thing, like how to splash in his bathtub, or how to kick really high. He also thinks pooping is super fun and has finally gotten the hang of tummy time. Im terrified for sleep regression to hit, but for right now I’m just enjoying my happy 2 month bubble.

Where to put my baby to sleep if I don’t want room-sharing, but only have one bedroom?

First time mom here. We live in a very small apartment. I am about to have my first baby soon, and I plan to not do room-share because I’m a light sleeper, and every tiny bit of noise will wake me up. Can I put her to sleep in the crib in the living room? Will my cooking and cleaning wake her up? I have a small space I can convert to an almost-like room (could maybe fit a crib) that I currently use for studying/office area because I need to have a space on my own to focus on study/work while my husband can sleep in our bedroom. So I really want to try putting the crib in the living room if I can. But if you think the living room noise and stuff will not be good, maybe I should put her in that study place instead? Thank you mamas!

What to do when you feel more like roommates and friends than lovers

Where's all the love gone? Obviously we love eachother but lately it feels like we're just hustling from one issue to another with our 1 year old. I feel more like we go through the motions. I miss the butterflies and wanting to stay up just to talk to you. We still cuddle and hold hands but I feel so disconnected at the same time. What do you do to connect to your partner in a more loving way?
