Sorry I'm late. I was up all night obsessing over a weird thing I said during a job interview in 2008 and I didn't get much sleep, so I had to stop and get a coffee on the way here.

Y'all, tell me how to kill my husband without saying how to kill my husband.

My daughter got up early this morning. 5am early. And while thats only like an hour less than normal, it was also my night to be on toddler duty and get her if she cries in the night. 16mo and still not sleeping through the night🥳 so my husband puts her down for a nap, I fall asleep on the couch. He has THE AUDACITY to come wake ME up so HE can take a shower. We literally had a conversation not a week ago about how he is always so focused on himself and his needs and I'm so busy giving energy to my daughter, him, and the house that there is never any time for me. So when he gets out of the shower we are going to have a fucking fantastic conversation about how it's not okay to wake me up, which sleeping is self care (is it though? Or is it just fucking self preservation), so that he can go do self care. They're both important, but I can only sleep when she's napping otherwise she will come find me and insist on me getting up. He can literally shower when ever!

Your children will remember the memories inside the walls more than the color of the walls. They will remember family meals more than the dining room table. They will remember your open arms more than an open concept. The house will never be as important as the home.
