Does anyone actually enjoy having two kids?

Me and husband want a second child, but EVERYTHING I see in relation to having a second is seemingly negative, which in turn is making me second guess. So is anyone here actually having a positive experience with 2 kids? Just wondering lol

I absolutely loath my MIL

My MIL has court ordered visitation. Things have been going okay, no words when I drop off my kid, barely any communication, ect. But she dropped them off yesterday and he was hunched over in his car seat watching some YouTube video, I asked her not to let him do it again and she just kept saying "well it's educational so." And I tried to gently explain we as his parents do not want him watching YouTube, especially for car drives where we can't monitor what's being watched. And she laughed.. yall... I wanted to do so many things to her then šŸ™„ And as we were walking away she grabbed my sons arm and kissed him right in his eye! I told her not to do it again and instead *ask* my child if he wants to give kisses or hugs goodbye and she said "I'm his grandmother, it's fine." And when I told her no, it wasn't she left without saying another word. I hate that she continually undermines me as my child's parent and tries her hardest to ignore anything we ask of her.

When do you stop giving them something to eat everytime they ask

My daughter just turned 4 and i think in my head its like shes still a baby. If your baby is hungry you feed them. But when does that stop. I feel like now shes getting into ā€œboredā€ eating. (Same girl) i obviously feed her 3 meals a day and snacks. But i feel like i should stop giving her a snack every time she wants one but i dont know. She could eat this house empty if i let her. If you say no its a tantrum. And i dont want her to have a bad relationship with food. I should also say shes right where she should be with hight and weight, i dont think she needs to loose weight or anything but i worry for the future

I know Iā€™ve posted before but I wanted to get away from the swaddle, but that Moro reflex wonā€™t let her sleep so Iā€™m retrying swaddling and want to ensure this looks okay.

Tips for newborn sleep?!

LO is 5 weeks, weighs 10 lbs. and wakes every 3 hours like clockwork for a 3-4oz. bottle of formula. We swaddle, have a white noise machine, and it is dark in her room for nighttime sleep (curtains donā€™t quite do the trick during daytime naps, which are crap and only last 30 minutes). Iā€™m seeing so many people on here with babies in the 6-8 week range sleeping through the night. How? How? How?!

Since the pandemic began, more than a million students have held off from going to college, opting to work instead. Skilled-trades programs are the exception. @anyasteinberg @ElissaNadworny https://t.co/LRxskD5UbO

When did everyone's period come back?

Hi all! I'm almost 10 weeks postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding. I've had mild cramps all afternoon that feel suspiciously period-related. Would this be unheard of? I really don't know when to expect my period again but didn't think it would be so soon. I had no complications with my delivery (vaginal) so I can see no other reason that I'd have cramps. They're definitely in my uterus, not bowels.

15 yr old son smoking

What do I do? I go upstairs and can smell the smoke heā€™s opened his window sprayed loads of deodorant to cover the smell. Itā€™s obvious. Iā€™ve spoke to him he says he got a few from school and heā€™s not a smoker. Iā€™ve told him no way can anyone smoke in the house the other day he said at 10:50 Iā€™m going out for 5 mins, I said no but he did anyway. Guess he was abiding to my rules. Iā€™d rather him go into the garden than be on the streets but donā€™t want to condone him smoking. Advice needed pls

How many housecats fit into an adult man?

The Average house cat weighs 9 pounds. My boyfriend weighs 145 pounds. By my math, thatā€™s 16.1 housecats (we will round up to 17 here) per one 145 pound asshole who thinks I shouldnā€™t say anything when his mom comes into our house and turns our heat on without asking before hand, and then comes upstairs to scream at me when Iā€™ve already been crying and depressed all morning anyway. I have anosmia (no sense of smell), so to me this seems a fair trade. I never thought at 35 weeks pregnant I would be thinking of adopting 14 more cats. Must be the hormones.

Best way to tell my 11 year old that mom had a miscarriage and she won't have a sibling.

I was going to say something along the lines of that the ***pregnancy's wasn't growing, that like a bud it never got past the stage of a seedling and unfortunately it doesn't look like it's going to grow any more and we'll have to try again sometime in the near future.*** I know it sounds weird, but it doesn't sounds the same in Ukrainian and I don't know how else to say it the most gentle way. My wife starts crying whenever she thinks of telling her (she's at grandma's over the weekend) so I'm assuming I'll be the one doing most of the talking.

How to break the nurse to sleep association at 6mo?

As the title says. My 6 month old nurses to sleep for naps, bedtime, and the middle of night. It has worked great up until now, but it isn't working anymore. She is waking up every 2-3 hours at night since the 4 month sleep regression and I am just so tired. She at least naps well, but obviously I would like her to sleep better at night. I am the only one who can soothe her to sleep and it's just so exhausting and I am at my breaking point. I think breaking the association will help her sleep better at night because she's not really waking for feeds but more for comfort. I don't want to full on sleep train, but I am close to that point. I am ok with some crying, but obviously I want to minimize if I can. Does anyone have any advice?

1-Bedroom Apartment until heā€™s 12+ months - how can we make it work?

We have a one bed apartment that weā€™re contractually tied to until heā€™s at least 1 year old. Iā€™m thinking the first 6 months will be straight forward, as he will be in a smaller cot by our bedside, in our bedroom; however, the challenge arises when he needs a larger bed from what I believe is 6 months onwards, and we will also start wanting our own space back. The best solution we can come up with is to create a studio apartment type of situation in our living room, maybe with a screen divider for the bed ā€˜sectionā€™. It will be tight and not exactly ideal, but itā€™s all I can think of. The little guy can have our bedroom, but we can keep our clothes etc. in there. Is this what people generally do? Interested to hear if youā€™ve adapted to a situation like this? Any input / advice / tips would be appreciated!
