16month old hardly eats anything.

She will go to town on breakfast stuff like yogurt and blueberries, strawberries, banana and avocados. But waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage, anything dinner related like chicken or beef or pork, veggies, even dinner rolls, mashed potatoes get spit out or thrown. I'm exhausted worrying about getting her proper nutrition when mom is working and I'm stay at home dadding. She still breastfeeds a little before bedtime and a little in the morning. But never NEEDS it. Its more to help mom feel less full and uncomfortable there. I see people saying kids this age go to town on food and I'm flustered and feeling worried.

You’ve probably heard a lot about birthing balls, but if you’re wondering what all the hype is about (and whether that yoga ball in the loft will do) here's everything you need to know. https://t.co/KNokYP0WVc

Just gave birth

I gave birth to my twin girls last night and I am so overcome with love. I seriously never knew I could love anyone this much, let alone two people. There aren’t even words to describe how I’m feeling. They are literally tiny, beautiful, perfect angels. I’m so excited to watch them grow up even though I wish they could be this little forever.

Does having exposure to babies, make teens more likely to use birth control?

Call me crazy. Many of the teen moms l’ve known in my lifetime are either lastborn or only children. Not many firstborns in this demographic. I’m curious if teens who are never around babies or young children are more likely to take risks when it comes to sex (e.g being an only child, being the youngest sibling in the family). I know that this wouldn’t be a sole (or major) factor, but I’m curious if being the eldest sibling who has vivid memories of their annoying younger siblings being babies/toddlers is a factor to delaying unprotected sex.

Familes with kids in actives do you eat dinner late or early?

My daughter just started competing gymnastics and I’m trying to figure out the best time for dinner since we like to eat together. She gets home at 3pm and then has gymnastics 4:30-6:30 3 nights a week. Been thinking it probably be better to do dinner at 3:30pm since my 2 year old goes to bed at 7pm(that’s when we get home) and my daughter is so tired after gymnastics she just wants to shower and sleep(she’s only 6) but it seems super early to eat 3:30 but also super late to eat at like 7:30. Typically we eat around 4:30/5pm. What do you all do?

Education should... include the two forms of work, manual and intellectual, for the same person, and thus make it understood by practical experience that these two kinds complete each other and are equally essential to a civilised existence. -Montessori #parenting #kids

I'm mildly morally opposed to getting my son circumsized,

but my wife tells me it is very prone to infection. How difficult is it to keep an un-circumsized penis from getting infected? Sorry for any typos. I know getting circumsised leads to loss of feeling in the head of the penis and I don't feel like introducing my child into the world with an un solicited mutilating. Any advice on this is very appreciated.

Allowance amounts in HCOL area? For our 11 yo

Thankfully all the kids are socializing and walking to town after school. They generally buy a slice of pizza and then go to carvel and get ice cream. But this is a $5-8 adventure daily. Our oldest then wants to buy gum/fidget/etc. We live in a very HCOL area. All her friends have credit cards 🤯 But I think $50 a week is excessive and honestly we can't afford it currently. Its too the point my husband wants to move back to a more normal town. We relocated when his company merged with this company. But that means he would have to start over again. We never realized how expensive it would be living here. We definitely aren't poor, but how do we keep a social life for our child in this situation without making her feel badly that we cannot afford it?
