Should be law if you have a public restroom that you need to have a changing table.
What is up with the new thing of getting rid of changing tables? I went 4 places today and none of them had a changing table. 2 had spots on the wall where they used to be. I asked staff and the girl said “I don’t know if I can legally tell you.” Did I miss something? I now have to change my kid on the tailgate where they’re exposed.

Is it ok to not fully interact with your baby sometimes?
I currently have him in his swing while I'm doing some house work and his just nomming on his fingers and he'll occasionally look at me and smile, which makes me melt. I just feel bad, because I feel relief that he's not screaming and I'm not having to hold him all the time. But it's ok right?

Deodorant in a 5 year old?
I’ve always thought deodorant was for bigger kids or kids starting puberty but man, my 5 year old son sweats and honestly it’s gotten to a point that sometimes I have to hold my breath because of how bad it is. I feel really bad because it’s not his fault but I’m really thinking about if I should start putting deodorant on him. Clearly not a deodorant with aluminum and parabens since I know that’s bad but yea. What do you guys think about deodorant in younger children? Have you had to do this before as well and what deodorant would you recommend? So far I’m thinking of using native since it’s very straight forward in Ingredients and doesn’t contain those bad ones I mentioned earlier.

When to move LO to their own room?
Hi! When did you move babe to their own crib in their room? My 10 week old currently sleeps in his bassinet, right next to our bed, and is doing okay with it, but I’ve heard so many say everyone slept better once babe was in their own room. Would love to hear your experience! Our room is on the main floor and his nursery is upstairs, which makes me nervous about moving him too soon. If you sleep trained, did you make this transition before or at the start of training?

finally some good news!!
My I-130 was approved. I've struggled through so much and have been fighting this for 20 years. I can't believe it. My husband just hugged me and I cried. I won't be separated from my babies

Why do some mom groups shame others so much?
I went on google to see if I could give my 15 month old a crunchy cheeto or two because we were at a relatives house and it was all they had for him to snack on (he wasn’t having the dough balls I offered) and a lot of the comments on the post I clicked were very rude and basically calling OP a bad mom. Some were like “might as well wash it down with a swig of beer while you’re at it” Sometimes things happen and the healthiest snacks just aren’t available, and honestly in my opinion even if they are there’s no harm in your LO having something like that every once in a while, I’m sure she’s not giving them to him as his only snack lol there’s no need to shame that poor mom 🙂 kinda makes me scared to ever post anywhere but here

Is it selfish to have children without getting my driver's lisense?
I've always told myself I need my lisense first before I can properly care for a child. Is this true? I have severe anxiety and I'm really not sure if I'll ever feel comfortable driving, let alone with my child in the car. I'm 27 and feel like I'm running out of time to have a family. Is it irresponsible without being able to drive? Or am I reading too much into it.

Has anyone potty trained their under 2 yr old toddler? Experiences?
My 22 month old only poops at home, when she's in her own private headspace (usually not facing us, squatting by her toys). She *usually* announces when she's pooped, after the fact. She sometimes tells me her diaper is "wet" or "poo" when there's poo in it. She pretends to wipe her toy's bums. She watches me when I'm on the toilet (while i narrate everything I'm doing, fun). Sometimes when she needs to poop, she goes into the bathroom and motions to the bathtub and toilet and seems confused. I feel like I'm seeing the right signs, but my family and friends tell me it's much too soon to potty train. I'm a first time mom so I'm not experienced yet in this stage of development.

Has anyone (accidentally) done permanent physical damage to their child?
How do you cope? I was moving something to keep my 10 month old baby safe, but didn't realise it was attached to something on a high up shelf. A vase fell on her and left a 2ish cm long dent in her forehead. She will have this forever. And unfortunately the way her hair seems to be growing in parts where it is, showing it off even more. Every time I look at her I think of how I failed her. I feel sick all the time. I can't get past it. I'm also worried she's going to feel anger towards me when she grows up. Can anyone relate to this? How do I get past it?

11 month old constantly cries when cradling before bed. help
So she is really tired. I'm not getting to put her in the cot or even down. She starts to cry whenever we hold her in such a way as to rock her asleep. Not much on Google for this as the advice is about after you have put them down lol. She has been playing up like this last few nights. Calpol and teething remedies given and also she has been bathed changed and fed. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you

Travelling without our 5 month old
Hi guys, I hope all are well. So my wife and I will be travelling for 10 days in a few days from now, and will be keeping our 5 month old daughter with my wife's mom and sisters, and we also have a nanny that will be there with them to support My wife and I have not travelled for several years now, and we are both burned out and we need to take a break. But right now, we are feeling a bit worried that maybe taking 10 days is too much and we will miss our daughter and she will miss us, too much She knows and is close to her grandmother and her aunts, but my wife and I are just feeling sad and guilty of leaving her I just want to know if anyone has had similiar experiences and if it's ok for us to not feel down about this? Thank you

What would you buy
If you were newly pregnant and was given $100 gift card to buy buy baby (like I was lol), what would you buy and why? I don’t have anything for the baby or postpartum yet. I’m only 3 months pregnant but my family member gave me the gift card immediately after telling them I was pregnant lol. I have no idea what would be best to buy. I want to use the money for something I’ll definitely need or use a lot during pregnancy/ with the baby

Cant stand PIL even 6 months after giving birth, normal?
My PIl came to stay with us after I gave birth. They came from their home country and stayed nearly 2 months. They have no boundaries and are generally over involved in husbands life I feel. There were a few incidents during these weeks after I gave birth that made me resent them. But now even after 6 months when they came to visit again I feel so much resentment and even hate. Does this feeling go away or did anyone else experience this?

My 2.5 year old is always crying around others!
My fiancé and I live in a city where we don’t have friends or family around. We had to relocate due to fiancés work. We both work full time and on weekends we take her out to soccer to socialize her with other kids. It’s the only time we have to take her out otherwise she is at home since we both work from home. I’m afraid she has social anxiety bc she will cry if someone says hi and will not play with other kids. She is always home so she doesn’t get much socialization. I don’t know what to do anymore, today she cried the entire 45 mins. Unfortunately we are both super busy and we cannot afford day care to have her socialize more. Anyone have any advice or going through anything similar ?
