College campuses are places where students encounter diverse people and ideas, and learn to navigate these differences with empathy, respect, and intellectual humility. In reality, though, that has been a difficult goal to achieve. @GreaterGoodSC https://t.co/R8RoSSe6kv

He took the light bulbs.

4 light fixtures, he just removed the fucking bulbs so I couldn't use the lights. He started yelling at me the other day cuz I forgot a light on, which I was using, as I'm trying to get ready, late, and getting 2 kids ready BY MYSELF. It ended with him screaming at me on my way out the door, and slamming the door in my face while I was holding the youngest. He told me he would remove access to the joint account and put me on an allowance, but make me 100% responsible for the electric bill. Nevermind he leaves lights on and uses items that suck plenty of electric as well. The lights I want to use in the living space are the problem. I am so furious. We've hardly spoken to each other and he keeps giving ME attitude. I know what I need to do, but I feel sick to my stomach with how pissed off I am.

Husband wants to go away for 5 days

We have a 5 year old and 6 month old. I made it abundantly clear when we would talk about having a baby that he wouldn’t be taking nearly as many guy trips for the first few years. Every year though he’s taken a winter trip with friends and for the last few I’ve gone with him. This time, logistically, it isn’t making sense due to the baby. DH was initially talking about a 3 night trip which I barely accepted. But then his one buddy asked about doing a camping trip too. I told DH only ONE trip. So what does he do? He combines the trips into one and thinks I’m going to be okay with it. I know moms are looked at as superwomen, but seriously?! The baby is 6 months. Why do I have to stay home and take care of both kids for 5/6 days so he can go out and have fun for an extended period of time?!

Had a three week appointment today for little guy and cried on the way home bc the doctor asked me how I was doing.

Baby is so good. This is my 4th child. Had one at 20, 23, 30, 40. Man, I forgot how hard this is! Simply never leaving the house, not being able to get in the shower when I've got baby pee on me, can't sit down and do my online work, always having to wait for my partner to come home to do necessary chores, feeding my other kids crap bc I can't get enough time to cook, feeling lost in Pajama pants and worse than usual hair bun. For me it's not the baby at all, but the loss of serious personal freedom that makes me feel overwhelmed. Whew! Solidarity!

Burp literally scared the 💩 out of my baby 😆

So I’m feeding the wee one, (14 weeks old today), set her up for a burp and we’re having a good time about it, she’s smiling, babbling, wiggling around. Then, all of a sudden, I burp. Nothing earth shattering, just a simple sneaky ninja mini belch at best. When I tell y’all this kid lost her shit I absolutely mean it. This girl reared back, eyes wide, mouth agape in horror, and she pooped herself so fast I was worried it was about to be the worst blowout diaper we’ve seen to-date.

We have our 2 month check up next week and baby will be receiving their first shots. Are there any tips we should know to help them before or after for comfort?

my husband said I just stay on the phone all day

And that I don't clean the house or deal with the kids. So anyone feel up to chatting today? How's everybody's day going? Anyone else got any complaints we might as well just get them all out here. 🤣

Baby hasn’t eaten properly in 4 WEEKS due to congestion and I’m losing my mind.

Title. What once was a 6-7oz a bottle baby is now a 1-2oz if I’m lucky then screams and cries because he’s hungry but won’t eat and I’m losing my mind. No doctor will help as he’s still having wet diapers. Constipated though and waking 5-6 times in the night due to congestion and not being able to eat. I’ve done baby Vicks, steamy showers, saline, the works. He even had a round of strong steroids but nothing is working and it’s been a month and I’m just so tired of it all.

How and when do you start reading to your LOs?

Our daughter is 3 months old and I read that we are supposed to read to them so they understand the rhythm of language. Whenever I try to read a kids book, she never pay attention. Literally anything seems more interesting to her the book in front of her. So instead I sometimes read my book out loud so she can hear the rhythm. For those parents with kids who love reading, when did you start reading to them? What were cues that they were interested? How do you get them into the reading habit?

Help finding where this bunny came from

This was a gift, and I'd like to buy a spare in case anything happens to it. This is our girls favorite. There isn't a tag on it! Reddit is so good at this kind of thing. Lol

Kid fight punishment stuff

My son, 10, has a girl friend, V, and a girl friend, C. He was at school with both of them during recess and V was doing stretches to prepare for a competition. C kicked V’s leg out from under her, causing her to fall, and my son told her it wasn’t nice. She replied that V shouldn’t show off like that. He went to help V up and C ran at him and hit him from behind. He hit her back. So…the only one getting punished here is my son, who was temporarily suspended for “laying hands on a person of the opposite gender.” I don’t think this is right, though obviously I support his suspension for hitting someone at school. Am I wrong about that?
