Imagine trying to make fun of people that use tools/languages in tech that literally make them money? Couldn't be me You can have your preferences for the tools you like but if someone is literally earning a living by using a tool then I can't see why you would make fun of it.

Typescript makes JavaScript BETTER. - Catch errors when you compile - Static Types - In my opinion, More readable - If you need to refactor code, you do not have to worry about someone using the wrong types. It is easy to see why more companies are switching to it.
