NASA needs people with all different skill sets to contribute to our mission. #WomensHistoryMonth honors all of the women that have made it possible to stand where we are and the women, like Allison, who are paving the way for the future. Allison Stancil is the Production Lead of Optical Systems Group at NASAWallops, where she began as an intern in high school. She schedules photo, graphic, and print jobs, in addition to being a photographer herself. Here are a few photos Allison has taken and a photo of her as an intern in 2014.

#OTD in 1970, after more than 58,000 orbits, the first satellite successfully launched by the U.S. reentered Earth’s atmosphere & burned up. Explorer 1 carried a cosmic ray detector, which led to the discovery of radiation belts around Earth. https://t.co/ATK9CUmCKG https://t.co/LVpQ0xm7f2
