Questions
Hello, I am in eight grade. We received a very interesting Social Studies project and we had to choose topics. I chose the Apollo Program and found out that the Johnson Space Center oversaw the project. I emailed them but they still haven't responded so I thought I would post this to reddit. 1.How were the Apollo Missions important? 2.What are some myths about the Apollo programs that are not true, are there any that are true? 3.How did the Apollo Missions co-relate to the Space Race? 4.What was the purpose of the Apollo Missions, did they serve their purpose? Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much for spending your time and energy to answer these questions.

I've just seen my first ever meteor. I googled and found out it's the Lyrid shower tonight. How do I learn more about seasonal astronomy? Anyone got recommendations for someone who doesn't know squat about astronomy?

Hello. I was thinking about the colonization of Mars in the distant future.
I saw ideas online for setting up astronaut habitats inside lava tunnels, as well as digging hexagonal habitats into rock for radiation protection. But would it be possible to cover a canyon or at least a section of it to make a habitat? How do you think it would be built? Well, I just read Kim Stanley Robinson's Martian trilogy and these ideas come to me all the time.
