Walmart cut its profit outlook for Q2 and FY23. “The increasing levels of food and fuel inflation are affecting how customers spend, and while we’ve made good progress clearing hardline categories, apparel in Walmart U.S. is requiring more markdown dollars:” CEO Doug McMillon

From CNBC and consistent with other signs that, after undermining companies’ costs, inflation is now adversely impacting the revenue side via demand destruction. #economy #markets #inflation @Walmart @CNBC https://t.co/47i2R11ajI

$WMT: Negative pre - not a comp problem with 6% sss and reiteration for F/Y BUT a mix issue with higher sales of lower margin food/consumables. Not a surprise but they are not alone. Apparel is just 3% of CPI, BTW.

Just a heads up... If you ever see a P/L from a "Guru" with their profits always ending in $.00 in the cents column, it is because it is a paper trading account. I see gurus post P/Ls with them claiming to make $30,000 a day and every trade ends with .00. Stop being mislead.
