The most recent visit at Baikal lake I continued working on my project about traditional cultures of Russia. Meet this beautiful family of Buryat people from Olkhon island at Baikal lake. They live in a tiny village with just 40 people. Little Sasha stays at home with mother, and older daughter Ayuna goes to school (12 km by bus to another village) and wishes to study at Saint Petersburg. A few months per year Olkon may be cut from the mainland (when ice is being formed). In winter you can get to this village by ice road, in summer by ferry to Olkhon. These are traditional Buryat dresses.
