Wayne Dyer quoting Patanjali. "When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds; your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world."

The one thing that NEVER fails me…..
…….Is just making it to a yoga class. Mom’s dementia is spiraling out of control…sick wife for a decade. Yesterday, I found out my brother’s open heart surgery went bad and he’s been in an induced coma and intubated for 2 days now But, I’m gonna be OK. I made it to hot class yesterday and this morning and I genuinely feel Ok So grateful and humbled by the power of it all ❤️

Yoga plans similar to T25 or Insanity or P90x?
I’ve done a few 60-90 day plans for various workout routines and I’m looking for something yoga centric for the active stretching and general benefits that yoga gives. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar plans but with more intense yoga as opposed to HIT workouts? I’ve tried googling for similar programs but haven’t had any luck.

stress about yoga
i’ve been feeling rather stress about yoga the past few weeks. I think my stress stem mainly from being “not good enough” and that “i am not improving fast enough”. This feeling comes quite frequently now that I am trying out more advanced poses such as forearm stand and handstand… Took a step back today and I remembered that Yoga is not about perfection and it’s supposed to help create calm and peace, and balance my mind and body. (felt slightly better afterwards!) Think I’ll be taking a break from yoga and I’ve decided to try out new studios & new class types. Any one ever felt the same? also, any advice on how I should go forward? Thank you!

Damaged wrist- a wrist band or alternative poses?
I'm trying to get into yoga due to my back issues. I have PT in two weeks (first session ever) and have a whole host of questions. But while I was doing yoga the other day I was reminded why I have never gotten into it. It's because my wrist is so sensitive and weak after a fall that happened in my teens that resulted in several ganglion cysts formations. I haven't had cysts in several years, (I'm a 32 yr old female) and can't hold myself up in about 85% of the poses. I'd like to think that there's a way around this. I love pilates and want to expand into yoga eventually. Pilates has the same issue, but not nearly as restrictive. All this to say, is there some magical wrist band that would help give me the support I need? Would modified poses give me the same benefits? Thanks!!!

Stretching question
Hello! I’m not necessarily looking for yoga specifically, but this felt like a good place to come for advice. I’m (22F) extremely non-flexible. I have never been able to touch my toes or come even close, but it’s been getting worse as of late. I was wondering if someone could help me come up with a 15-20 minute routine I can do everyday or even twice a day to work on overall flexibility? My hamstrings are definitely the worst offender but my hips and ankles could probably also use some mobility work. Thanks :)

Best mat for hot yoga
Hello, sorry for asking this as I know it's been asked before! I have looked through the sub history and narrowed down my choices but wanted to get people's opinion as I'm still not sure. I mostly do hot rocket and hot vinyasa so a lot of moving and want to upgrade my mat so I don't need a towel. These are the options I'm considering from looking in the sub: Liforme Manduka Lululemon B Mat Cork mats Can anyone who has any of these/ has tried multiple give me their thoughts on how grippy these are, longevity, if there's a better type (e.g. within the brands, or best brand for cork mat)? Ideally want something that's going to last a good 5 years or more if I'm spending quite a bit on it. Thanks!

Recs on built-in sports bra tanks and long sleeves with thumb holes? Price points
I just got new pieces from Vuori (Yosemite Bra $46.60 and Daily Bra $33) and Beyond Yoga (Space Dye High Waisted Pants $99). They are great and pricy but I do yoga 7x a week so it only makes sense. Looking for built-in sports bra tanks and long sleeves with thumb holes that are cropped at the waist but can’t find any good ones. Please no Lulu, Old Navy, or Alo. Colors don’t matter, I love bright yet soft pieces that are multipurpose for lounging and hiking as well. I’m 5’ 8’’ for reference - TIA!
