How to clean your mat?
i've had my yoga mat for about a year and a half now, and due to it's light pink color it's starting to look a bit.. not as clean. probably mostly due to sweat since i sometimes use it for online HIIT classes. is there a way to clean it?

How to get rid of nasty smell from yoga mat
I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this to, but I moved out of my childhood home a few months ago, I'm still going back to get some things. My previous home had a roach problem, and too many animals, and the smell has stuck to my fairly expensive yoga mat. I dont want to get a new one but I can't figure out how to get rid of the smell without possibly damaging it

Does anyone else struggle with their heels touching the ground while in down dog or malasana? Mine do not.
I have been doing yoga for close to 16 months/ My flexibility has increased but I still am struggling with my heels touching the ground when in certain poses. Any tips?

I have been doing power yoga for some time, but started with bikram. I am interested in learning Ashtanga, but it seems intimidating. Can’t seem to truly release hamstring tension. Am I overstretching?
Fairly new to yoga (couple months) but I practice every day for at least 1-2 hours . This involves my own shorter yin type of practices morning/night and also a longer and stronger vinyasa flow. I have become much stronger and flexible and I’m getting deeper and deeper in poses but I have noticed since day one that my hamstrings just seems to be tight every day whatever I do. I still get deep into poses where hamstrings are the main focus but this feeling of stiffness / tightness just never goes away. I have tried to back off a little bit but nothing is changing. Am I overstretching?
