Yoga has made me love my body
That’s it. After years of struggling with body acceptance and lifting, doing excessive cardio, intense diets, etc., I finally love this body of mine. At 27, I am all at once the softest and the strongest I have ever been. My body works so hard for me and with me and I can not only forgive but accept and LOVE parts of me I used to hide. I’ve been practicing yoga on and off for fifteen years now, and the last 2 years have been transcendent.

My wife created a review blog about yoga clothing. No one has visited it.
Sharing it here cus it's starting to make me a bit sad seeing her keep creating these content with so much effort and no one is going to it. She created a twitter account too [https://twitter.com/YogaClothRevUK](https://twitter.com/YogaClothRevUK) and most of the 17 followers are clearly bots. Even a few clicks and seeing some traffic will get her really excited to keep going. If anyone you knows is interested in yoga, would appreciate a share. This is her site: yogaclothingreviews.co.uk

Sukhasana - Easy Pose
I've been practicing yoga consistently for a couple of years, and I've always struggled with feeling comfortable while being seated in Sukhasana. I can do it for a short meditation, or to hear instructions from the teacher. However after a while, my left hip starts aching. It's hard to explain but if you look at the hip joint from above and picture a clock, the pain concentrates on the 12 to 3 quadrant trending to the groin area. Sitting on blocks controls the discomfort but does not eliminate it. I'm planning to visit an orthopedic soon, but I would to hear if any other yogis/yoginis have been through this situation before.

5 day Yoga Plan?
(I posted this on the /Yoga subreddit a couple days ago but got no replies.) Hopefully someone here can answer? So, I practiced yoga for a several years and stopped a few months back due to some personal issues. Now that I'm finally feeling better and cleared up some mental hurdles, I want to get back to practicing 5 days a week! Can anyone recommend a M-F regimen for a level 1-2 practice that focuses on different muscles areas each day? Thanks in advance! 🧘♂️

Hey, guys. I'm on a mission to find the perfect summer getaway with my loved one that goes beyond the usual movie nights and dinners. We want something that will cater to our needs and provide a nurturing environment for beginners. So, if any of you have had amazing experiences or know a cool yoga retreat in Rishikesh, we would be eternally grateful for your suggestion. TIA!

Lulu lemon vs cottonon body.
I’m extremely new to yoga. So new that I haven’t even started. I’ve signed up for some classes and I want to pick a few things up to get me started. Lulu is obviously expensive, but seems worth it from what I can tell browsing this sub. What about cotton on? Way cheaper, but are they ok? I don’t want to make huge investment just in case yoga isn’t for me. Also, any pro tips or recommendations for a noob?

Question about hands on during shavasana
In my lesson yesterday my teacher went around during shavasana and did something I think bears more meaning than I know of. She had some kind of scented oil and brushed over my brows and hairline, pushed on my temples and ended with hand positioning I only know from [avatar (spoiler is you’ve never seen ATLAB](https://i.imgur.com/8QLkW4P.jpg) she put a finger on my hairline, third eye and heart. >!in ATLAB Aang takes away Ozai‘s bending abilities. Since I don’t think she did that with me I‘m curious!< what is the reason doing something like that? Does it have something to do with chakras?

Question from a beginner!
Hello all! I recently attempted a strength yoga video that was aimed for beginners. But I quickly quit because I was so afraid I was gonna hurt myself. I’ve never done yoga even when I was stronger. I have lost a lot of muscle and strength since COVID. I feel very weak now and that may not have been the best start. That video may have been made for people already strong lol. Im trying to get out of the post pandemic funk, hoping it’s never too late. Anyone have any recommendations for beginners? For someone who has gained weight, no flexibility, currently not very strong, and starting to be active again. I want to challenge myself of course but I don’t want to hurt myself. Please help! I appreciate any suggestions, even videos!

Its new mat time and I havent looked in four years - whats good now?
My liforme mat has been good to me but its now peeling and Ive developed a couple divots. I do hot yoga a few times a week and at home (not hot) the rest of the time, so it gets heavy use and I completely sweat through it ( yes, all the way through it) after every hot class. Last time I looked, I was not impressed with Manduka because the whole break in nonsense but that was realy the only other brand that accommodated my big needs : high volume durability and grip. Im about six foot so I need something 6-7 feet long and 50-70cm wide. Thus far, Liforme's XL mat is the only one that meets my needs. What else is out there?
