On those days when dragging yourself out of bed feels pretty momentous, yoga—slow, steady, and supported—can help. https://t.co/OQ6MvEiT7L

Dizziness in high crescent and warrior 2

I am new to consistent yoga practice (about 3 mo). In flow class, I consistently get dizzy when going into high crescent followed by warrior 2. I have to go into a forward full to stop the dizziness. Any tips?

Yoga is an incredible tool for helping practitioners improve their lives; however, as teachers we may find it challenging to consistently create focused, asana-based sequences that provide students with the particular benefits they seek. The answer, as with most things in life, has to do with moderation. https://t.co/Z93YkMQYmC

Yin Yoga - Where should I feel this?

I tried some yin yoga on gaia.com, peloton, and Kassandra on YT. The guy instructing on Gaia would tell me 2 minutes into a pose where I'm supposed to feel the stretch and it wasn't where I felt it at all. Other videos I've watched often don't tell me where I should feel the stretch and it makes me worried I'm going to hurt something by holding the wrong pose a long time. He also indicated that tingling or pain is a bad sign, but many poses can't be held at all without causing tingling over time, though that tingling isn't necessarily where the pose is stretching (though I'm not sure since they don't tell me!). Can anyone point me towards some better resources for what I need or illuminate what information I'm missing or misunderstand? Thank you. Namaste.

back of legs pain. HELP PLS

Hello everyone! I am a yoga teacher and I usually practice during my classes, just to show asanas since my students are all new to yoga. So I am practising even 3 hours a day almost everyday. And it seems my body hasn't enough time to rest and recover, especially because I am working on my back, trying to make it flexible and longer. So, now, the backs of my legs is in pain (it hurts in the popliteal cavity and hamstring while I am in padastasana for example). What should I do? I know, resting and giving myself time, respecting my body, applying ahimsa is core, but do you have any tips? Some natural remedy? Some ointment or integration to help? Any advice is welcome. Thanks for your answer. Namasté 🙏

Elbows feeling wonky? Try out this Tricep SMR that @elenashapeshifts learned at our in-person MFR Training this past August! 🙂 This one is great for everyone but especially those with elbow pain or those of us that use our arms a lot throughout the day.   https://t.co/8vufsNAnwQ https://t.co/ugBD3E96t8

Low back and left hip pain

Any good advice for low back pain and left hip left low back pain? When I have my YTT weekends it seems to flair it all up again and takes sometimes two weeks for things to settle down! Maybe bio freeze? Ice or heat? I was in restorative and in a supported twist and I got such bad Charlie horse type pain in my left lower back and hip! Maybe a massage will help? I hope I didn’t injure anything like my spine but it feels muscular

Rolled over neck trying headstand - injured?

The text says it all, I am learning to go from an egg headstand to a full tripod headstand and I fell and rolled over my neck. I heard a few cracks and feel a bit of strain, but otherwise seem fine after a few hours. Is this a normal reaction to rolling over the neck? What would the symptoms be if it was more serious? Is it possible to break the neck doing this? Is this common when learning headstands? I don’t see how it could have been avoided! Feeling really stupid that I didn’t think of this before trying it and really regretting it now :(
